  1. Hey everyone! I havent been geocaching very much recently because I have been training for upcoming "sprint" adventure races! I know lots of geocachers are very active people so if you would like to train/race with me while grabbing some caches then I would enjoy the company! I usually mountain bike or run everyday, and judging by the weather I try to kayak as well. So if you want to race or just hit some caches with me while im training then send me an e-mail! (oh yeah anyone have an specialized epic for sale?)

Since when have you said that? ummmm maybe never? To clear things up my caches are not nanos. They are in a 1x1- 6'x6' foot container. It seems to me you have not even read the cache descriptions, or even gone up to the cache its self, so you shouldn't be judging what you don't even know. You two, being grown men, because i saw you at the BB cache bash, should be more mature than my 10 year old cousin. Lets grow up a little and make caching fun for everyone, because its a sport that everyone should be able to have fun at. How many people will be able to have fun on a 5/5 needle in a rockpile hide after a hike in the forest? Or did you really hide it in a 6 foot by 6 foot container and mismark the cache as a small? You want to have an event on Halloween in Big Bear....then list it on gc.com _________________ Back to top Hazzmatt Joined: Mar 19, 2004 Posts: 589 Location: Riverside Posted: 10 Post subject: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Last edited by Hazzmatt on 10; edited 1 time in total Back to top Cruising_Adventuring Joined: Aug 29, 2005 Posts: 18 Posted: 10 Post subject: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quote: How many people will be able to have fun on a 5/5 needle in a rockpile hide after a hike in the forest? Just because you do not enjoy that kind of a hide doesnt mean that others wont. You dont have to search for a cache if you dont want to. this thread is not about my geocaches. It is about getting people together and having fun gc'ing during halloween night. Your stereotypical ratings of how good you think caches are... is just flat out ridiculous. There is not a "right type" of cache location period. (besides those which violate guidelines.) As a hider i can choose to put a cache at the top of a tree, in a stump, a rock pile, or wherever i feel fit. This arguing with you is stupid. Please grow up and have respect for others. Caching is NOT for everyone! So who is caching for then? I believe everyone should have an equal chance to go geocaching. And, whats the "stop hiding caches in bushes supposed to mean?" As a finder I can choose to not look for your needle in a rockpile hides after dark on Halloween Monday with the temps close to freezing and a 2 hour drive home. Which I believe was and still is my original point that you cannot seem to grasp. _________________ Back to top stampsalot87 Joined: Aug 23, 2003 Posts: 395 Location: Ventura County Posted: 10 Post subject: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Time to lock this stirng _________________ <a href="http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?guid=de1222fe-8cde-4cb6-8663-567bf8d5ffe6" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.Groundspeak.com/stats/img.aspx?txt=Let's+go+geocaching&uid=de1222fe-8cde-4cb6-8663-567bf8d5ff *******Everyone this is what FishPOET has said to me in the past.******** I believe this post clearly shows how rude him and Hazzmatt were (actually Hazzmatt edited all his posts with a "bump" so people couldnt see what he really wrote...) I feel this is ridicilous behavior by anyone (especially geocachers). This issue needs to be addressed. I think Hazzmatt and FishPOET need to apologize to everyone they have degraded in the geocaching community. I have had people contact me who feel the same way. I am not alone in this position. I especially liked FishPOETS respose saying I am attacking him personally, it seems he can dish it out but he can't take it. I guess I'm not much better than FishPOET of Hazzmatt by stooping to their level but this needed to be brought up. Here is the website which has the discussion posted above on it http://www.socalgeocachers.com/modules.php...iewtopic&t=1964 *I am sorry BadgerCacher but I needed to bring this up.*
  10. Expecting any real snow this weekend? I heard there is a chance we might get some snow...but not more than a couple of inches.
  11. Don't make it a micro in a rock pile and maybe I'll go find it. I believe this was discussed in socalgeocachers.com.....if you Hazzmatt, of Fishpoet wish to degrade my cache any further then please contact me by e-mail and i will tell you want i think of you cache snobs. People can play this game anyway they want, but it doesnt mean taking the fun away from other peoples caching experiences. How about you visit my cache before you make judgements on it. If you have any more rude, or degrading comments then feel free to flood my inbox with them!
  12. Yeah, its deer season now so I think I'll wait a while...
  13. Hey I have an idea! Lets put out a cache with $100.00 in it and see how many posts we get! lol
  14. I'm also one of those log instantly people too. I get so excited when I'm home i have to do it immediately.
  15. Hey anyone ever come across the elusive Bigfoot while caching!! lol I'm asking because my friends and I bought a cool looking bigfoot costume and plan on getting a few flatlanders (i live in the mountains) pulses raised....But seriously...has anyone encountered a weird animal like this? lol *this is an alien abduction free thread!*
  16. Hey everyone I was planing on a cahce that required you to trade a DVD with other DVD's in a large ammo box, or something.... anyone seen this done? Any advice would be nice so I should see If I should even put this cache out?
  17. I just recently checked up on my Serrano Indian Overlook cache and i was surprised that 2 finds were not recorded online? Does this happen to anyone else? Do you think they just forgot about the cache? LOL. Should I post something on my cache page? ( the logs were dated on the 13, and the 26th of november!?)
  18. I am sorry but I disagree with you closing my thread about cancer. I think it is important for geocachers to be informed of products they come in contact with on a daily basis with geocaching. I feel the thread is all about geocaching, and keeping the geocachers safe. Can you please explain further why you closed the thread? Thanks! (edit for spelling)
  19. Not only that, but they can cause Alzheimer's. Bret Well at least someone believes me! lol
  20. lol.... I am serious about this. if you do not believe me then do the research yourself. You should ask any good doctor about this and they will agree with my statement. Go look at your products just to see how many really have aluminum in them...
