  1. Many years ago, a friend got a TB out of a cache, then gave it to us to move along (we were going out of state). We misplaced it, and it resurfaced YEARS later when we were moving. We are now in Thailand, brought the TB with us, and dropped it in a cache here. Went to the TB's page, and see that the owner marked it "missing" in 2010. We logged that we "discovered" it, but this did not put the TB in our inventory. The cache our friend got it from is now archived. I have no idea how to get this TB into my inventory so I can drop it in it's new cache. Any ideas?
  2. Anyone know where I can get the activation code for a GeoNut coin? I thought it was supposed to be at Geocoinclub.com, but the tracking number isn't in the database. Thanks!
  3. I had the same problem and FINALLY figured it out. Go to the coin's page and make sure it has a name and a GOAL. I didn't think this used to be required, but now apparently it is. Seems that you have to put something in the box for a GOAL before it'll show up in your inventory. Worked for me. good luck
  4. yeah, they love that kind of stuff...really Klaatu is headed for Roswell
  5. hmmm....aliens posing as doctors, oldest trick in the book.
  6. You got a TFTC?? That must've been one of the more polite races of aliens. That narrows it down. If you woke up dazed, it could be that you were the target of a Bruclat (they enjoy sitting in trees and dropping various objects that should otherwise not fall from the sky). I would ask if the aliens in question were FTF...but I don't want to pry that far!
  7. The drop-down box is there, but none of my coins/bugs are listed for me to select. I've tried logging off and back on, that didn't work either.
  8. I have 12 trackables (owned) listed in my profile. I dropped one of my coins into a cache this morning, but when I logged my cache find, the box at the bottom that should list all my trackables is empty, so I can't "drop" the coin into the cache. The coin's page still has it listed in my possession, and it's listed in my profile. Any suggestions??? Thanks.
  9. I'm "the guy" from Central VA. If you're going to Williamsburg, will you be passing through close to Lynchburg or Richmond? I wouldn't mind helping to manage the cache, do maintenance, etc. But Williamsburg is near the East Coast, a several-hour drive for me. (I'm on the outskirts of Lynchburg.) Richmond is the state capital, more in the center of the state, and would only take me a little over an hour to get to. If you're looking for good history, Appomattox may be worth considering too, and is even closer. Virginia map It's your cache, so it's up to you. Just wanted to add my .02 in case you may need a local to help with maintenance in the future. Happy 4th!! ---Agent Scully (Tammy )
  10. I'm in central VA, and I'd love to be a part of this. Great idea! Put me down as a back-up for Virginia
  11. Ok, since nobody else is stepping up, heres my lame attempt at a geo-crop circle. ----> GoLeft Hey...cool crop circle! Unfortunately, we probably couldn't use it due to trademark issues We've wrestled with photoshop and come up with a sig design that we like, but I guess the details get lost trying to use the image for an avater. Anybody know the size limitation for uploading an image file? Anything we can do to get the details to show up? Here's a larger sized image...
  12. Quick shot as an avatar Not exactly what we're looking for, but thanks for the effort!
  13. You guys are doing some awesome stuff here. Anyone wanna' take a stab at an "otherworldly" design for us? We need something we can use for sig items, and if it works as an avatar as well, that's great. We'd like to incorporate the traditional GC colors, maybe a traditional "grey" alien face, or flying saucer, or crop circle. It should be "alien friendly" ... no evil alien theme. We are a husband (Mulder) & Wife (Scully) team. We use a Garmin Map60C and an iPAQ pocket PC. Our OGRV (official geocache recovery vehicle) is a maroon Blazer with the tag "GO-CACHE." Of course, not all of this needs to be included in the design, just giving info... Can't wait to see what you guys come up with! Edit: oh, yeah...probably nothing too "cartoonish," but more hi-techish
  14. Georcfun, I'm currently looking into the Garmin iQue 3600. It might be close to what you're looking for. According to the Garmin web site, its screen stats are: "Display: 2.16" x 3.24" (54 x 81 mm), 320 x 480-pixel, high-resolution, color with virtual Graffiti™ area" However, I don't know a lot about them. Does anyone use the Garmin iQue 3600? How well does it work for geocaching and as a PDA? Good luck, Scott
