  1. On an impromptu walk, we noticed there was a geocache right next to the path. Didn't bring a pen with us, so we signed the log with a small stick dipped in the leftover chocolate on the lid of our Frappuccino drinks. Took awhile to sign, but it looked okay.
  2. Let's see.... the geopack usually has Power bars, Cliff Shot Blocks, assorted peanut butter, apple or fig bars from Trader Joes and last but not least, peanut butter filled pretzels. And lots of water.
  3. Most caches in one day? Twenty-two, on 6/21/11. Our anniversary was on 6/22 and we found our last cache of the day at 6:22 pm. We almost didn't attempt it due to it getting late, but I am so glad we did. Definitely a favorite for us.
  4. I haven't sought out that many caches where I am likely to be asked what I am doing. I am fortunate to live in an area where I can combine my passion for hiking and now caching and can avoid most such confrontations. However, I do wonder what I would say if I needed to explain myself in the safest possible way. I know honesty is the best policy, especially when dealing with law enforcement, but I was curious what memorable conversations people have had when confronted, be it by police, curious passers-by, property owners or even other cachers. Any good stories out there to inspire us, warn us or just make us laugh? If this topic has already been thoroughly discussed, could someone provide me with the link, I couldn't find one and I'd like to check it out.
  5. I just ordered this yesterday. http://www.pacsafe.com/www/index.php?_room=3&_action=detail&id=149 I needed something a little smaller that would be easier on the back and lungs for the day hikes. I liked the idea of being able to shift it around.
