  1. We're Team E4, - Ed, Emily, Ethan (3yrs) and Evan (8wks). We are new and hooked. Ethan loves it because he gets to hunt and poke around like mom and dad. Evan just hangs out in his stroller doing the baby thing, sleeping. There's nothing like starting them early. No pics yet, but we have a big weekend planned, hopefully have some then.
  2. Thanks Motley, I was not sure if it was part of premium or not.
  3. I signed up as a premium member and downloaded gsak. How do register this to keep away the nag screen? Now do I have to buy gsak too, or is that part of the premium membership? Thanks
  4. Actually, my first gps was a Cobra 1000. I've only had it a short period. I'm new to GeoCaching and I've only completed four finds. The Cobra 1000 has been very sucessful and accurate for me so far. I've walked right up to each cache. However with that said, I just ordered a Garmin GPS 60CS and my Cobra unit is going to my wife. All in all the Cobra 1000 has worked fine for me and I like it. It does have the ability to accept SD cards which is a nice feature, however for an advance user it is very limited.
  5. Does the 76cs have the exact same geocaching mode as the 60cs?
  6. I'm new into GeoCaching and now addicted. I too have been bouncing back and forth over the 60cs and 76cs. I was wondering if the 60cs would have better reception over the 76cs in heavy cover, just due to twhat appears to be an external antenna. Either way, I will have to make up my mind in the next couple of days. I will continue to read what others on this forum have to say, then make my decision. Good luck
  7. Ok, after several hours or reading and embras comments, I'm leaning now towards the Garmin. How does the Garmin GPSMAP 76CS compare to the Gpsmap 60cs? I know the 76cs has more availble memory, but how to the other features compare?
  8. Pardon a newbie here if this is a repeat question. Yesterday and today, I took my wife and two boys (3yrs and 8 wks) on our first geocache trip. To my surprise, my wife loves this hobby. Now my problems is she always wants the GPS. It's a Cobra GPS 1000-DLX. I know that alot of people have not had very good luck with Cobra GPS's, but mine has worked great and I'm shooting 100% on my finds. Now I need a second GPS and I'm trying to figure out which to go with. I've been looking at the Magellan Meridian Color or Garmin GPSMAP 60CS. I definetly want color, want to be able to use it in the car for minor navigation purposes as well as geocaching. To all you experienced GPS users, what unit would you go with? If you have another recomendation, please give it to me. I really value your input. Where is the best place to buy online? What a great hobby.
