At GZ of a cache I found - yesterday

We reached 300 today, nothing compared to the thousands others got, but we are on our way there

I used the two end of soda bottles caps, cut it off just behind the neck, glued together and there you have a micro container that's waterproof

I found a cache under an old name 03/06/2011 I changed name from then, can I log this find under my new name? Old name can be deleted

I've tried to test the waters here, thanks for the response In South Africa, geocachers in general have a huge problem with laminated cards. seems they don't have value for it and deems it as junk Different strokes for different okes, I presume

Are laminated cards / photos acceptable to put in finds? Size more or less 30 cm x 30 cm I'm asking this because some cachers state that they would remove such cards as they see it as trash I agree that it is not a tradeable item and can fill a container unnecessary

A guy called on me today producing a photo I put into caches, it was lying beside a path close to a cache where I have placed a photo He asked me what it's about? I had to explain the whole geocaching thing to him, he was very interested but also could not understand the reason for destroying cache contents I hope this guy loses interest into the whole caching thing fast

We got our 200 th today, a milestone for us

We have the Etrex 20, what a nice little GPS unit, we just love it, sturdy, easy and light

We are on 197, so three more for the 200 It takes time, but we will get there

On Sunday we saw a guy with GPS wandering around the site of a cache we just discovered I asked him if he was looking for the cache Foolishly he said: "No, what's that?" So I said: "Why then the GPS, are you lost?" We had a good laugh and showed him the cache Only met nice people doing this

Proving that he is doing this will be very difficult, the fact that he bragged about it also says nothing, he is just a poor sod that gets a cick out of this His aliases was banned on other forums, they caught him on the same IP address His action will not dampen our effort to go out there an find them What a lovely family hobby this turned out to be

We have a Nuvi 500, but got the Etrex 20, about a month ago I find it very easy and much more efficient than the Nuvi Great little GPS, and colour screen also

We as a family are quite new to this caching thing We often don't trade, but leave a little photo of out avatar as a gesture that we were there Find geocoins quite rewarding We have been taken to places we never dreamed of going to Today for instance I found a cache on the beach and a Sea Lion was going to the sea from the beach That itself was quite a reward We stand on 197 and are quite excited to get to 200 We just love this activity

Good point, took note of it Maybe I should place two photos in the caches and mark the one for his attention, then he knows wich one to add to his collection

It's quite a complex situation / problem I have made little photos of my wife and I, same as the avatar photo to place in caches we discover I laminate them, so they are weather proof and good quality There was a Troll on another forum who discovered we are also doing caching and admitted that he thinks it's a stupid idea to place these photos and admitted that whenever he discovers a cache with our photo in it, he throws them away He follows our trail and then finds caches I have since placed photos, but did not publish it It seems very childish to me for a person to go to such measures and action

I am discovering that someone is removing the photos I place in caches that I visit Is this acceptable behaviour? Can such a member be removed if found guilty? It's like he's harassing us
