  1. but we pay a fee to use PQ's. its not unreasonable to expect the product we pay for
  2. http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php...=207063&hl= i got some from here, i have always found US mapping no where near as good as OS mapping. Did we teach them nothing over there? Maybe we should send OS over there and show them how its done
  3. yes it should be ok, i know of one trad in stevenage that is inside a building
  4. i quite enjoyed my caching in malta, there are a few to do for a small set of islands, it was a shame that it was at the start of my caching life or i would have planned it better. i shall have to go back to do some more, it will be a good excuse to go back.
  5. would you really want to be seen in a german staff car?
  6. You're not the first person I've heard complain about that. You'd have to talk to whoever drew up the maps. probably the same people that think hertfordshire cachers are part of the east anglian cachers
  7. sadly i have to decline, as it is my turn to cook dinner for mrs sssss tonight, maybe next time
  8. how about a rule that no caches can be published during the month of december to prevent xmas caches, thus giving the reviewers a holiday, they could then use the free time to check out the caches that should be SBA'd
  9. i put my pda into an otterbox, waterproof, bashproof and bright yellow so have not left it behind at a cache..... yet
  10. forgot to add, another place you can get to know some other cachers is http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php...atroom&st=0 or a quick link http://www.geochat.co.uk/chat/
  11. certainly been out with worse, but now i am spoken for, well so she tells me anyway the only thing scary about that is the SE London bit, tried that, yuck
  12. 12 hours double time, only three hours then back to work again
  13. you transfer the information by going into file -- export --- memory map and then importing the resulting csv file
  14. you transfer the information by going into file -- export --- memory map and then importing the resulting csv file
  15. whilst I am not an essex cacher, if you get stuck and its not too far from Herts then I could come across and help out. I suspect you will find a more local helper.
  16. are there any uk cachers that use memory map when you go to the states? what mapping have you got to use with the program? thanks in anticipation.
  17. Mine have all been released and traveling the world. ** Please note american coin collectors, I have no Garmin coins for trades, they have all been released doing what Garmin/Enjoy England intended. Thanks for your many emails. Happy Caching to you all **
  18. They've definitely been in the USA - probably at one of these caches... http://www.geocaching.com/seek/nearest.asp...&submit4=Go i did not know that First Capital Connect went to the USA.
  19. http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php...mp;hl=motorbike here is a thread about motorcycle caching, i use either my garmin SP3 or 60cs for caching on the bike, that way i can use the power lead from the bike to save the batteries. if i am doing greenlane caches then i use the pda with memory map in the otterbox for protection. its really easy to fit a power lead if your bike does not have one. so what bike have you got and where is the picture?
  20. put it in an otterbox, mine has suffered many drops, falls, dunkings and still lives to tell the tail
  21. davenjulie, feel free to post spoilers on my caches if you wish, i never have a problem with it unlike some. the only thing which i find polite is to mark the photo spoiler then that gives others the option on how closely they wish to look at the image. sssss
  22. if you join the BCU, then their membership allows you to use most (but not all) canals
  23. i use the x51 with a holux bluetooth reciever. i use memory map and cachemate as the software on the x51. i also bought an otterbox for it so that i can use it in the rain and its protect for when i drop it/sit on it and bright yellow for when i have to go back and find it after leaving it at a cache.
