  1. Oh I see Ms S, you obviously do not like me any more. Not mentioning my Kentish meet last night
  2. http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?p...page&id=199 geocaching.com knowledge books are your friend
  3. http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#sat You have to keep 528ft away from other cache's. But your stages can be within 528ft of each other If they are physical stages of a multi cache. The wiki http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php and the guidelines are a good place to trawl http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx
  4. Generally a traditional, with a higher difficulty rating. If there is work to do before hand to work out the combination it may become a puzzle.
  5. If it were my cache, I would not have a problem with a polite well written request. After all I would not want to hog a whole park. Provided I could find a suitable place for my cache of course. I suspect there would be many that would not be impressed though.
  6. Personally I think memorial caches can take away some of the above quote from hidden within the guidelines.
  7. Just a very quick 2p's worth or cents as it is in America. It does not meet the cache maintenance guidelines it has to go. If people give up caching or a 'long break' they should either get them adopted or archive them otherwise it sets a bad example.
  8. Yes you can hide it up high. http://support.Groundspeak.com//index.php <-- has good info about how to rate terrain/difficulty and a guide.
  9. That was a free sample of what you can have with Platinum Membership

    mistake

From the trackable page for each bug/coin, select add a log entry. choose the grab it log to then grab it back to your inventory. then add a write note log to the relevant cache page and drop the correct trackable back in to the cache.
  11. That is only because all my cache owners (especially goldpot) are all so wonderful that they have read and fully digested the gc.com and uk guidelines for all their cache submissions and are such jolly good eggs. So I have very little to do. Oh and also because London is nearly full and the only space left is in the royal parks and that is a no go area. Easy
  12. The best bet is send an email to your reviewer explaining the ins and out of what you are trying to achieve and see what they say. If it is not possible then they may give pointers to get the caches approved. It is always nicer to do it direct with the reviewer rather than a debate on a forum which can end up with the discussion going down some very strange tangents at time
  13. I would go with a paperless caching device earlier if I started over again. I can't help with the 450$ bit.
  14. Shame you can't make it a couple of days earlier http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...0cfbc&log=y
  15. Quite a few events have been held here http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...1ac28&log=y but be quick, it needs to be submitted two weeks before the event
  16. There is an event next month, I do not think it is too far from you. A good place to meet up and ask questions. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...49be5&log=y

  19. If it is illegal to stop and get the cache then it should not be allowed or the cache owner should say how to access the cache legally. When I cache abroad I do not always know the finer details of any law or byelaws that may be relevant. I would assume that any cache set should be legal to get. I would have a big sense of humour failure if I then had a court visit, fine or some penalty.
  20. Before you start to hide your own, have a good look at this website by one of the reviewers. http://www.follow-the-arrow.co.uk/resources/default.shtml Oh and get yourself down to an event cache as well, it is always worth meeting up with the locals.

  22. Brilliant, Thank you so much for getting them back. I owe you a beer
