actually, that is not true - coords are frequently in that range but do not count on it

only good for caches hidden under bridges - or in michigan anything in the lower peninsula (below the bridge)

My only issue with cemetery caches (and remember, there are no A's buried in cemeteries) is that they are usually too easy to be a satisfactory challenge. I have absolutely no compunction about visiting a cemetery - there is nothing disrespectful about visiting the dead.
-
I have a pair of good-quality FRS radios that I take along when caching with my wife or a friend - good for checking out two legs of a tail fork at one time and things like that. They get used very rarely, however, and I would definitely not feel naked without them.
-
likewise, topo maps in the GPSr - though mine is a Lowrance (Expedition C) - Contours on 100ft intervals - without the topo in the unit, I, too, would be getting quads for every area I cache in - though I would probably not buy a whole state at a time - just more money than I want to spend
-
hm - in other words, potentially anywhere - perhaps I should turn it on in case there might be a dead critter in the woods near my caches
-
Personally, it is a nonissue - but if I were to place one in a cemetery and there were a defined attribute, I would use it.
-
I usually have my moleskine handy but I don't always write anything about a particular cache in it
-
When I first moved to my neighborhood less than a year ago, one state park very close by had only one cache - on an island. Now there are 7 of them in the park and 6 of them are mine - so look at a cacheless park as an opportunity!
-
it did not occur to anyone to report it to some park authority who might have been interested in removing it?
-
Only in more difficult caches, I have left cash (not cuz it rhymes with cache LOL) and unactivated TB's - but I only do it on the truly difficult puzzles. Most of the time I leave nothing special for FTF except the knowledge that they are FTF
-
<veer direction="off topic"> well, I may never change it since it is my trademark in another realm, but I have toyed with using this one: </veer> I happen to think that people who worry too much about what other people do should learn to lighten up

Mine is to go to Sasolburg, SA - it appears that there are quite a few caches in the vicinity - the nearest just over 3 miles from city center.
-
well as far as that goes, I have met very few people of any age who are not clueless, but I do not conform my life to meet their shortcomings
-
I have a few small ones I purchased at a Rockler store (woodworking) - but I am sure I could have got a better price if I had not picked these up - I just spotted them, figured they could be very handy for a number of things - and have only used a couple of the ten that came in the package. Rockler has an online store, also, in case you wish to look for them that way. (I won't bother to post a link lest someone think I am being overly commercial - so google it if you wish)
-
if I find rum in a cache, I will confiscate it... course it might take me longer to find my way out of the woods than it did to find the cache... BTW - many liquor bottles are made of plastic these days - so that element of potential risk may not be called into play. Can anyone actually think a (clueless) child is likely to stumble on this cache alone?
-
that would be more fun on the back of a blue windbreaker in big yellow letters (and you could amuse some Potterers, too!)
-
When I do maintenance I read logs - I do not compare them to the logs on the site - and don't really care. If folks want to log a find who have not actually visited the cache, I figure it is no skin off MY nose - and if they can fool themselves into believing that they have a 'find' more power to them for such a flexible reality. The neat thing is sometimes I find the visitors log a find in the cache who never log online, and those are neat logs to find.

Hm - I have one puzzle cache out there that is a three-stage multi - and I am not feeling the slightest twinge of guilt
-
the one I thought was native to windows is called 'stencil' - and I may be wrong about where it came from - I have had it since the beginning of time - or whenever I had my first windows box, whichever is more recent
-
Inside caches are possible - I have one in a library - but a retail store is a bad place - I have worked in such places and, even if you can conceal one without being noticed, racks, shelves, etc are frequently moved, rearranged, or taken off the floor.

One cannot confuse what is already confused

Well, I did not get them submitted yesterday after all - had no oppty to get the containers into their places as familial responsibilities, though not onerous, were definitely constant. I did get them placed and submitted today, Boxing Day. They are both puzzles - we shall see if FTF happens this year or next.
-
that looks GREAT!!!!!! too bad I am not planning a trip to the area any time soon - but just in case, I think I will start working on the solutions anyway

4 or 5 miles is a quick little jaunt on a bike
