Just had one of my caches go MIA. I was going to check on this weekend, but when two people failed to find it, I checked today and it was missing. One cacher e-mailed me that he could not find it but found the indentation of the ammo box in the dirt and he was sure it was gone. He was correct. I archived the cache.

I just found one of my caches has gone missing. It was put in a fairley remote area, although it was a park. 1.25 mile walk to get to it. i am sure it was not taken by a fellow geocacher. The thing that makes me angry is the fact that the log book and all the comments made are gone forever. I archived the cache. I will be putting another one in this park but in a different location. I use ammo boxes and they are cheap enough that I dont mind it and the contents are gone, but I still get pissed over the log book when I think about it.

On my last cache, which is over a one mile hike, one way, I received lenghty logs on line from the first three who found it. I enjoyed reading these on line, as I did not know if any one would want to go that far to get a cache. All of them stated that they liked the long hike and enjoyed the scenery along the hike. Great, now I am looking to put another cache in this same area.

The best first aid kits are the ones that are advertised on geocaching. I have the trail pack and fasten it to my backpack with a small carabeaner. It has everything in it I would possibly need.

I am thinking about buying several travel bugs and noticed that most of thme are attached to a figure, stuffed animal, plastic toys, etc. Can you attach them to anything or do they need to be attached?

Went to a cache that was previously reported to be infested with ticks. Sprayed down with 28% deet, clothes and skin, and never saw one on me. I will continue to do so in the future as ticks are carrying toooo many diseases as of now. Wal-mart has several sprays for your clothes and skin that are supposed to keep ticks at bay.

You say you posted in the wrong place? Where are you located at, as I am in the state of Florida and I notice you are with the Florida Geocachers. Hopefully this is a club or organization for Florida Geocachers.
