I don't see anything wrong with an occasional FTF. I usually do a contest with my caches to make it a race to see who is going to get it first. One particular cache that i did like this is http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...42-79e7582fde6a I think that reading the logs, the people who won something thoroughly enjoyed the cache, especially with the caches that are little more involved and that you have to work at to find But on the other hand, sometimes I let the newer cachers in the area get the FTF so they can get that infamous first FTF log.

Well i got my gps from ShopNBC and it was wrong!!! They sent me a gpsmap 60. So after one phone call to customer support, (Very polite and helpful by the way) I was instructed to return the gps and they will send out the right one. But wait, for my troubles they upgraded my gps to a gpsmap 60cs. They asked if this would cover the inconvenience and i said it sure would. So now I await as I check fed ex every five minutes to see that it is still enroute. But i don't mind the wait since I am now getting a 60 CS.

I think you read the threads wrong, amazon.com is not shipping the products. ShopNBC had them for 299.99 until they started selling like hotcakes and now they upped the price to 449.99, but they do deliver!!!

Also it looks as if the buying wave caused them to raise their prices. They are now charging $449.99 Now I think that is just wrong, just because you get slammed with orders I guess they were selling to many. Oh well I guess I am glad I got mine for the 299.99 price.

ok also if you call shopNBC after you get the shipping confirmation email, you can request the FEDEX shipping number. Also my delivery date was by the 22nd and it will actually be here on the 14th. I may have to be sick tomm! (Cough, Cough)

Wrong rabbit, they have 8 left as I type this, I just checked. I received my confirmation email stating it was shipped and at this point all seems good. Like I said before I will report back when it arrives.

Ok I am hesitant to post this after what just happened but for you thrill seekers like me ( yes I ordered one and they now have 14 left) I ordered one and then called customer service to see if I could get overnight shipping. She said they couldnt do it because the item was being dropshipped from a vendor. So my first thoughts were darklord. So being the careful person I am, I asked the rep who the vendor was and she said hold on while I look it up and while I was waiting for a reply, which I just knew I was going to hear that name. She said the gps is shipping from Garmin. I asked again, so this gps is shipping straight from Garmin and she replied yes. So take it for what its worth. I guess if you cant trust a TV station that has a show that sells merchandise and the company who makes them doing the shipping, who can ya trust? Nope, looks like we will have to file a claim once the time period has passed. Seems like amazon has been refunding the money back to people who have ordered from darklord. BTW if you search the net you can find the garmin gpsmap60c for $299.99 and they let you break it up into three installmaents if you use a credit card, and it is a reputable company that has a tv show that sells merchandise.

Well, at this point it all looks as if it was a scam. Amazon has closed all of his items. I wrote to Amazon concerning the situation now that they know he is a scammer and what will happen now at this point, awaiting an email back from Amazon.com If anyone wants to confirm that all his items are closed his username is darklord115. I will keep you all posted as to what Amazon.com does about refunding the money and what there plan of action is.

got my email from the seller stating it will be 7 to 10 days. That will put me recieving it somewhere between Sept 4th and Sept 9th. So the waiting begins....

While I am fairly new to geocaching, I have noticed signature business cards, buttons and other personalized things. Well I have just finished making signature poker chips and wanted to share. What you need: Poker Chips (Wal-Mart for $3.50 for 50 chips) Avery Print or Write Multi-Use Labels #05410 1 inch round (Staples $5.00 for 600) Spray Glaze (Craft shop for $3.75) DesignPro 5 (Software available for download at www.avery.com (Free to use for 15 days) Very easy to make, import designs or clip art, then add your text. Print out your labels and affix to the center of the poker chip. Spray with glaze, let dry for 10 minutes or so. Repeat with other side. And there you go a custom poker chip that is weatherproof and tells other geocachers you "cached" in. (tried to add a picture but couldnt so I will put the pic in my avatar)
