Thanks for this thread. I was about to plant a micro cache but will go and have a more thorough look and see if I cannot get a small one in the area instead. A good point was made earlier about people having TB's on them wanting to offload them.

Yes, that little 35mm film canister is just a tad small even for a GC once the log is rolled up in there. I am looking for a canister just slightly bigger to use for a micro cache into which a GC could fit.

With WAAS/EGNOS turned on my Garmin Oregon 550 shows an accuracy of 3m/10ft.

Maingray, your probably right about the unlock codes. I was thinking that CitySelect was similar to the old Metroguide series in that you didn't need an unlock code. Bottom line: the maps will work unless they require an unlock code that you don't have. I have the Oregon 550 - built in camera otherwise the same model. I have loaded all sorts of older European Topo maps and they all work fine. One little tip: Make sure that you buy some good Rechargeable batteries 2700/2800 ma - the 2000 ones supplied haven't got much stamina!

I am lucky enough to have an Oregon 550 and for geolocated snaps and photos to use as waypoints it is really handy. I do however often carry a Panasonic Lumix LX5 which is small, light and takes great photos.

I messaged the support team and received the following reply this morning: "One issue that we are aware is if a user has a "#" symbol in their billing address, PayPal has been rejecting the transaction. We are currently working to fix this, but in the mean time, removing the "#" has allowed the transactions to go through." Perhaps that may help... Best wishes.

I am suffering from the same problem. I have a PayPal account but nothing happens when I click the PayPal log at the bottom of the page after filling in my details... In the end I used a Credit Card and it worked in seconds. If any admins are reading this - please can someone fix the PayPal payment method as I am sure that may people would prefer to use is. Thanks.
