I have carried on a few caches. Mostly out of town and in areas that I did not know very well. And in one instance I was happy I was. Not sure if I really would have needed it but I'm sure it detured the guys I ran into from taking any action toward myself. Never had to take it out of the holster, but the shear size of it I bet had to make them think twice. A Para-Ordinence Black Watch SSP .45 will make anybody think twice. And it makes me feel safe.

first of all LOL @ saabinmike's thread, some people make you wonder dont they. and to keep this on topic. no i havent let it keep me from going. if all i have to do is fill up my tank and pack a lunch from home i think im getting away pretty cheap for a day full of fun, site seeing, excersize, and who knows maybe some really cool swag!

Was wondering if it was "ok" to go to a cache that you have already found to retreve something in the cache i.e. travel bug, geocoin, ect. and move it to another cache. not logging it as a find or anything else. how ever would post a note on the log telling why i was there or something along those lines. Please help! Thanks!

I got 18 finds and 2 hides, so thats about 9%, im going to try to hide at least one cache for every ten i find. i thought that would be a pretty good rule of thumb for me.

Thanks for all the info. i didnt think it was a rule. But i do have to agree with you, i check the site every morning to see if people found my two ive set. and i agree too that logging them is half the fun.

Just wondering as a noob if it was a rule to log your cache. I have logged all of my 18 caches (told ya i was a noob). So is it a rule or just good form? Thanks for the info all. (Note to admin) If this thead needs to be moved, sorry about the placement.

Everything seems to be well in Michigan. Im sure someone will get yours pretty quick.

I still consider myself a newbie, I only have about 16 or 17 caches recorded and two hides. But I think Micros are just a part of the game. Granted I agree if the area will support a larger cache that will not be easily muggled than put one there, but if you dont want the resposibility of carring for a normal cache than do a micro. It is all a part of the game.

Im still downloading the video but just from what you folks said this guy sounds like a head case, i will put my final verdict in after i see the video. as for somebody comming through and revamping my cache box, get off it!, lol . let me know if there is something wrong with it and i will take care of it myself. but thats just one guys oppion. im sure he ment well.

You gotta do what you gotta do. I have actually left work early and sped trough two counties to get my FTF. I havent been in this very long either, but just like every other aspect of my life I hit things head on and at full force. Here in MI it seems if it is a fairly populated area theres vertually no chance of a FTF. However both of my caches set for three days before they got hit, Gladwin isnt exactly a meca for geocaching though. Good Luck! ps stay up late on night and give it a go!

Hey Folks, thanks for all the replies back. i have just recently started geocaching and have been amazed by the comrodery of people. lets keep it that way! if anything we need to support other sites like the ones described in this post. they like the game just as much as we do. maybe one day we can hold a caching game that will incorperate all sites, kind of like a caching olympics. just one guys thoughts though. ps i think we would still kick their collective a**^$ though!

I consider wardriving the thing i do when i get out of work late and want to go three counties away to find a box somebody hid in the woods, LOL. Keep caching folks, it will be a olympic sport some day!
