  1. OK, testing just about over. Agree that this is ok for driving but not so good for geocaching as if your speed drop below a certain level 2mph ish then it stop reading. Its similar to static navigation in the SIRF gps devices. i cant find anyway of turning it off but there are other forums posts about this problem on some techy forums so i will keep my eye on this for a solution. i acutally love the phone though and combined with my bluetooth gps unit I think i will keep hold of it. the inbuilt gps will be fine for tomtom etc and not having a combined phone/pda means less to carry and as TFTC says its could be used in an emerency for caching Will keep you informed if i find any other info.
  2. Received mine in the UK today and have just instlled Memory Map to give it a test. Off out now to see if i get the same problems. If i do I will be sending it back as the main reason for getting it was the in built GPS as it meant one less thing to carry!
  3. *bangs head* Its the %children i was missing, doh! Thanks alot! Will go and play, your example is pretty much what i had written except for the %children bit
  4. Hello, I am using the LordElph and Edgemaster method for exporting to MM but I would like to know if there is anyway of getting the child waypoints to include details such as child type & cache name so i can see which caches they are refering to when out and about, all i get currenty is the name and in comments e.g. "stage 1" I have tried eveything but the commands that start with %c_### to use with children do not seem to work in the memory map export tool, is this correct and should I then raise this with Clyde? Let me know if anyone has any smart workarounds. Hope that all makes sense Thanks, G
  5. Hi, I hope someone will be able to help me with this questions. I have searched the forums but have not found any solution or indication of what i may be doing wrong. I have created a pocket query for my postal code area and for it to only show me caches that are stroller friendly, if i preview this it comes back with 152 results out of a max set at 250, but when the query runs and the file gets sent to my email its 250, 98 which i expect are non stroller friendly. Any ideas why the query is sent with a full 250 caches and not just the 152? Do i need to do anything when i import it into GSAK? Hope that makes sense, if you need any more info please let me know Gareth
  6. Hi, I use memory map and I am trying to export my geocache info with local URLs. I have exported the HTML already to my PC (tried to do it to my Pocket PC but it wouldnt let me, if i could then problem sorted). I then pointed the export to memory map option for the use local URL to the location on PC, as help file instucts. All ok I import this file into Memory Map and all is well. I double click the geocache location and it goes and find the infomation on my pc. However when I export the information from memory map into memory map on my PDA I can no longer view the geocache URL info as its local to my PC. Is there a way to export the HTML via a sync with the PDA so that when i export from memory map i can view the info out and about. Another possiblity is that I can type the file location where it would be in theory on the PDA in the local URL location and that exports. It would mean that memory map on pc wouldnt find the info but at least PDA would. Does any of that make sense, its a little complicated. What i basically want to be able to do is have just memory map running on my pda with all the info at hand. I seem so close just need to know what else i can try? Any ideas?? Thanks,
