Once again it is that time of the month. The Cacher of the Month website is open for entries for March.
As always, if anyone has any problems please let me know. I've got a little backlog at the moment as I've been away on business for a few days but I'll ensure that anyone who contacts me before the 15th deadline will be able to submit results even if I'm not able to sort the problem out by then.
Regards,
Adam

I must be bored.
But I can think of 420014 better things to do...
-
Now for a harder question
How do I change my stats as I have submitted and need to change them?
For that, you will need to contact adambro. I'm sure he will be able to update your stats
Yes, that's no problem.
February results have now been published. A very good month in terms of number of entries, 121, which I think is probably the best ever. Also, a good number of new users, welcome and thanks for taking part.
-
Have just registered, waiting for an admin to verify us tho!
Ditto!
Done.
On a similar note, there's a number of users who have signed up but not verified there email by clicking on the link in the registration email they should have received. This might be overzealous spam filters. If you still wish to take part and you're having problems, please let me know and I'll look into it.

Still a couple of days left for Feb, deadline is the 15th.

That's a cache on my to do list for when I'm next in Peterborough, probably next month. Was down there in January and started doing it but it was quite windy so got fed up. Hope its still there if it is indeed the cache in question.

It is of course that time of the month again. The website is open for February 2007 entries. Last day is the 15th.
As always, if anyone has any problems don't hesitate to contact me. I have started implementing a remember me function but have noticed the odd issue and will continue to look into these.

I'm using an Acer N35 with a SPECTEC 11b/g SDIO WLAN card.

Last few hours to get Jan results in. Closes at midnight tonight. Results published sometime early tomorrow morning.
As always, if anyone has any trouble with the website, please let me know and you are always welcome to email your results in.

Following Haggis Hunter's reminder that I still hadn't sorted out a way of remember login details, I've got down to work and think it should be working now. Just a simple checkbox to remember your login details, which works by placing a cookie on your computer.
It should mean that you don't need to remember your login details unless you don't visit the website for over 2 months.
As always, anyone who has any problems is asked to let me know.

Final few days to get results in for Jan.

I've had two months without a find! Very poor. I've had plenty of chances to cache as well, I've been all over the UK. Just not happened. Hopefully do some this month though!
Anyway, thanks for the reminder Haggis Hunter, I did indeed say I'd do that. I'll put it on the list.

The Cacher of the Month website is accepting entries for the month of January 2007.
This months marks a year since I started looking after CotM. I'd appreciate any feedback as to how you think its gone, and also any suggestions as to what I could improve or add to the website.
I did promise a forgotten password function but this has yet to appear. This is mostly because resetting a password is quite a straightforward procedure for me to do. Its still something I'd like to do though when time permits. Can anyone remember anything else I've not done that I intended to?
Due to a change of web server and database server, the website has been offline for the last 24 hours or so. Apologies if this has caused any inconvenience. I had to update the website to account for the changes. I have hopefully got everything working again but would appreciate it if you contact me if you notice anything odd.
It probably wasn't possible to submit your results via the website during the period whilst most of it wasn't working but just in case; if you submitted results between 23:00 on the 5th and 20:00 on the 7th, you'll have to try it again. Sorry.

Adam

Fellow geocachers? You don't seem to have done much geocaching according to your profile.
-
Lock it/Delete it.
-
...and the Geocaching connection is?

HazelS, sorry for not getting back to you sooner, it was on my list of things to do. Anyway, I'd say that counting US benchmarks as trigs is fine.

PMR (or PMR446 to give it its full title) is legal in the UK, FRS is not.
FRS and PMRs will not work together. They work on different frequencies. If you use FRS in the UK then you could potentially interfere with the emergency services. Not a good idea.
-
..and, that would be illegal.

Tomorrow is the last day for entries. I'm continuing to work through the backlog of emails and will try to ensure all are dealt with. Sorry about the slow response time.
