  1. I've had a little rant about the attribute thing recently. My particular issue was with people using the 'Boat Required' attribute for caches that are near a river, canal etc. I don't understand where the confusion comes from. 'Boat Required' seems clear enough, it means you need a boat! Now we can run PQ's based on attributes, it's helpful if people use them correctly.
  2. Was out caching with in my GPS on a lanyard when I accidently dropped it, moment of panic before realising it isn't going anywhere as its round my neck.
  3. Yes, but what about those that were accepted after August?!
  4. You could still have some of the log types occuring.
  5. Whether or not it is 'legal', I would have thought it wouldn't be a very good location for a cache. Surely access is a bit of a problem.
  6. Now that it is possible to perform pocket queries based on cache attributes, its really important that owners choose the right attributes for their caches. Of particular interest to me are caches that could be done from a kayak, so I've got a PQ to search for the 'Boat Required' attribute. Most of the results of this query just happen to be somewhere near water, yet the owner has used the 'Boat Required' attribute, hmm, why! Ps. Merry Christmas, and a happy new year!
  7. The Waypoint Workbench excel spreadsheet will do it for you. http://www.keenpeople.com/index.php?option...ry&filecatid=87
  8. Maybe what you are getting is the weekly list of new caches.
  9. 100 divided by (distance squared times pi) where pi = 3.14159....
  10. That link doesn't work for the rest of us, this does though. Another reason why I wish I could make the event, hopefully, after the event, it will stay local for a while to give me chance to log it.
  11. Wouldn't mind coming to this but not able to. Have fun!
  12. Just remember, everything is relative.
  13. I know which I think is more attractive!
  14. Yup its getting better!!! Thanks Google! Edit to say: Google Earth was already very useful to me for geocaching. Now i've got myself a data cable for my Etrex and the quality has goen up its amazing. How appropriate that Queen - Don't Stop Me Now is playing as I check it out.! Heres some of the track from one of my recent caching trips:
  15. I see no problem with logging TBs/geocoins that you've actually seen. Surely part of the TBs journey is meeting a number of geocachers at an event or whatever, just because it doesn't move anywhere, it's still part of the items adventure. I don't like the virtual logging of coins or TBs though. What's the point?! I don't see the fun in it and it spoils it for others who may be watching out for TBs. I've moved virtual coins/TBs in the past but have since deleted the logs as I don't feel its something I want to be involved in. I'd rather people be able to see my stats as a true representation of my caching.
  16. Sounds like a very neat idea, shame there isn't a way to watch a user.
  17. You've got to go First Class on Virgin, really good. Might not help the GPS signal though.
  18. Lovely, using a sock puppet account to moan about something that's not causing you any trouble.
  19. Why are you bothered by micros when you've just reached 200 finds! Well done Fruity!
  20. Only my 4th, looks like I can talk more rubbish
  21. Send it down to West Yorkshire please!
  22. It would be nice to have hundreds of find, that would mean I've been to hundreds of great locations. Caching by public transport involves a bit more planning which allows me to find out more about where I am visiting.
