  1. I guess thats up to Deego, I think his hosting space has PHP so that wouldn't be a problem, I'd just need to be able to access the web space to update the scripts. My host allows extra login accounts to be setup but that might not be the case with the company Deego uses and that would mean he would have to share his login details with me that I wouldn't really see as a good solution.
  2. Could the person who contacted me through my website please get in touch again with some contact details so I can discuss their concerns. Thanks. Adam
  3. My most in a day is 9 but I'm quite pleased with that. It was about an 8 mile walk, taking 6 hours, including two multis. I don't have my own transport so only cache by foot and public transport.
  4. I'd be interesting in getting hold of a few TB tags, so who in the UK should I be talking to, I'd prefer to be able to meet up as opposed to getting them sent. I'm from Huddersfield.
  5. OK, sorry I just missed it from your original post.
  6. Yup good points 2202. I've got it creating stats for year dynamically so you'll be able to keep an eye on who is where in the table before the year end.
  7. Done, see http://www.aebrookes.co.uk/cotm/year.php?year=2004. Also, if you look at http://www.aebrookes.co.uk/cotm/year.php?year=2005 you'll see the stats for 2005, just missing the results for December. Now i'm going to add a link to expand each of the tables to see all results not just the top ten.
  8. Doesn't seem like a silly question. Integrating into GCUK would seem like a sensible option, but since Deego is involved with GCUK I would have thought this would have been considered before. Maybe their agreement with Groundspeak is quite restrictive. Deego you can email be at adam.brookes at gmail.com. Are you going to continue to look after the UK records list and the hall of fame? Regards, Adam Ps. Did you get my email Moote?
  9. I'm continuing to make progress with my CoTM system, http://www.aebrookes.co.uk/cotm/index.php. I've now got all the previous entries into my database so you can view previous months results. Took me a few hours with some playing around with Microsoft Excel and some PHP scripts. This is the key step towards making CoTM easier to look after. (Note to Deego: Is it okay for me to copy your data like I have?) You can view individual profiles of users to see how many times they've taken part, totals etc. The next thing I'll be doing is making it so users can login and add their results into the database. Regards, Adam
  10. Right okay, here is my very much work in progress solution that uses PHP/MySQL. http://www.aebrookes.co.uk/cotm/index.php Feedback and comments much appreciated.
  11. Sounds like it needs the PHP/MySQL treatment. Is this the kind of thing Moote/StuartP are doing? adam
  12. Yep that looks a lot better, someone please change it!
  13. What's wrong with opening a paypal account?
  14. 587 available within 25 miles of Holmfirth, West Yorkshire. Found 37 (6%). Hidden 3 (0.5%)
  15. Might as well make use of this thread; TH, does your email work, never seem to hear anything back from you. Adam
  16. Yup, I haven't had chance to log many of them but those I have were good fun. Shame they're going. Can understand that the website wasn't designed for the thousands of logs they get though. Surely TPTB could have come up with a solution. I hope that the same fate doesn't await my webcam caches.
  17. Yeah okay, no problem, I did wonder whether it was just a typo in the post as opposed to trying a wrong url.
  18. You've got a typo, works fine here: http://jeep.geocaching.com/
  19. Go to this page: http://www.geocaching.com/forums/register.aspx and click to enter the forums. That will transfer the details to the forum server. adambro
  20. A PQ will result in a GPX file instead of a LOC file. GPX contains a lot more data. I don't know how many caches you have in Australia but it takes me about 20 PQs to get the whole of the UK. So I run the max five a day for a few days to end up with all of the UK caches. Each query is based on the date they were placed. adambro
  21. You should sign up for premium membership then run a few PQs to get the whole of the database for Australia. Whilst we're on the subject, I imagine many people have a load of PQs to download the whole database for their country. I would have thought all these individuals doing the same queries is quite pointless. How about a weekly GPX file for each country, available to premium members? Then it would only need to run once.
