Project GC will show your duplicate logs.
You will need to 'Authorize' it to access your Groundspeak account (Project GC is an approved Groundspeak Api partner)
Then search Profile > Find bad logs, then add you name to Profile Name. Click filter and your duplicate logged caches will be shown.
# Dups
GC4FGBC
GC559P4
GC40YVP
GC18ZHD
GCZTC1
The first 4 were dups and I removed them. The last was not a dup. Removing them did not change my cache count of 1403
Thanks for the help
Is there a way to see what cache I logged on a given day of the year?

When I set up My Geocaching Profile it says I have 5 duplicates and leaves 4 dates blank on the calender that I thought I had logged caches on.
How can i find the duplicates or find a list of caches I logged on a given date?

How do I open state and county maps to show my finds in them. Can they be listed on my profile page?
Do you mean like the ones on my profile page? They're from MyGeocachingProfile.com (link at the bottom of my profile page)
Yes
Where do you find those maps and how do I place them on my profile?
Nancycle answered your question.
Go to www.MyGeocachingProfile.com and you take it from there.
A little more detaile might have been helpful. But please don't bother

Yes that works in Fire Fox. Thanks.

I have a list of favorites and first to finds that appears on my public profile. have forgotten how to add to them. Edit my profile does not give m access to change these lists. Has something changed or has age caught up to me?
I think I figured it out. They no longer display the full list in edit mode so I discounted that that was were editing is done. If you know of a way to se the full list in edit mode please advise.

Dare to be Different!
Thanks. TB5VMP7 is up and running. My next question is on my other decal TBs I logged their beginning by logging "Took It To". I can;t find that option now.

Test your decal by exposing a small bit by one corner to see which side of it is the sticky side. Then you will know on which side of the glass it should be placed.
If it gets reversed when placed outside the glass, just call it a "Puzzle" traveller, where those wishing to discover it must first translate or decipher it.
A very interesting idea. Have to look into that.

I have an auto Geo decal. It is a white figure on clear background. In order to read the TB number I think it should be mounted on the inside of the window. Problem is the window is dark. Am i missing something or do i have the wrong decal?
There's a vinyl version for the outside of a car. If you place that decal right up against the window, does it show up at all?
If I place the decal on the outside of the window the text will be backwards. If I place it on the inside the window will block it because of he darkness of the window. This is assuming the surface of the decal that goes against the window is the surface that is pealed of the backing that the decal is shipped on.

The only way I can think of its to load them in gsak and search there
At this point I don't have gsak. Could you give more details?

Is there a way to find caches by the theme of the cache. I am holding a TB that is train oriented and want to place it in a cache that is so oriented.

The only way to be certain of the capacity of the battery is to start them from a fully charged state, then draw them down against a fixed load to see what they were holding after the full charge. Of course, they need to be charged again after that for use. Not all chargers are designed to run this kind of 'test' cycle. Simply looking at charge current vs. time isn't at all an accurate measure of the actual available power of the battery since conversion is never a 100% efficient function.
My charger has a discharge option. Only problem is it does not explain what to expect. I just charged the batteries and they show 1928 mah. Can I assume those batteries are good for that and I may not have a problem other than having possibility improperly turned the Garmin off in the past?

Did you also remember to change the battery type in the GPS? That affects how it meters battery level. If it's set for Alkaline or Lithium, it will think the batteries are low because the discharge rate on NiMH cells is 1.2v rather than 1.5v.
By the way, when I asked what the charged capacity was according to your charger, I meant the number of miliAmps stored in the battery. Voltage is a measure of the rate of charge/discharge, essentially the power given off by the battery. When they reach charged state, they should be filled with about 2000 mA, give or take a hundred.
OK Batteries have charged overnight and have these results. They are HR3UTGA 1.2V 1900mAh 1.47 volts, 303 min, and 1928 mah.
Before I put them in the Oregon 450 I assume I have to set the battery type to NiMH. Is this correct? As mentioned above I can not be sure the unit has actually been successfully been turned off in the past, my wife uses it, as I noticed it had not gone off when I was writting my original post.

The batteries were just now set for alkaline, but that may be the result of just having updated software. Can't say for sure before that but thanks for that heads up. I will set to nimh and post the Ma after tonight's recharge.

And what do you mean when you say you charge them at 300 with the Powerex? 300 mAh?
I believe Maha recommends charging at 0.5C if you're using the MH-C9000. With the Eneloops, that means 1000 mA. And answering the questions mineral2 asked would help a lot as well.
One more question : where did you buy the Eneloops from? There are fake ones around.
I have Eneloops from 2007 that I'm still using. I haven't measured exactly how long they last, but easily 8 hours in an Oregon 450 (being conservative in my estimate).

My post above may have answered the problem. Will have to pay closer attention to shut down

Let's be more specific... how long does it take you to find 2 or 3 caches? What GPS are you using? How are you using it? Are you taking all power-saving precautions (no backlight, screen shut off after 30 seconds, etc.).
What's the stored charge when full according to your Powerex charger?
1.38 volts
I think they are lasting less than a few hours total time. Yes I am using the power saving features on the Garnin 450.
I may have discovered the problem. I had the unit on when I opened this tread. I thought I turned it off but just now when I started this post I went to turn it on and it opened instantly. The problem may be false shut downs.

I have some Eneloop HR-3UTGA 1900mah batteries and quite disappointed in there usefulness. I am charging the at 300 with Powerex smart charger. Have charged them less than 20 times done a refresh and they are discharged in less than 2 or 3 caches. Am I doing something wrong?

How do I log the first placement of a TB into a given cache and start it on it's way.
Will it just appear on my watchlist?

Regarding the thread title: "Open Pocket Query in Windows 7": You don't OPEN a PQ. It does you no good to open it, you cannot read it.
You UNZIP the compressed (zipped) file [usually a selection from a right-click of the mouse]. The unzipped file then provides you with two .gpx files.
Drag 'n drop each of those files to the "[drive]:\garmin\gpx" folder in your unit.
Yes that was the procedure I followed with XP. Thanks I did find the unzip option and now have the files to work with.I will attempt to load them in the am.

I just switched to a windows 7 system. I have a downloaded compressed pocket query and it is not reacting the way it used to in EP.
Can someone walk me through getting to a point that I can load it on my Garmin?

I have checked the first 4 caches listed above. I show a log date in the chronological of Geocaching.com listing for each one that corresponds to a date in My Geocaching Profile that is blank. Is there a way to correct the data in My Geocaching profile?
If corrected that would put both lists in agreement.
