  1. Wow!! The pictures for this trip looked so awesome that we're planning an encore trip this Friday, weather permitting. The Blue October will be there. Same time, same place, different date (11/28). Who else wants to go?!? We're there! The Splashes Me and Yoda will be there. Maybe Fattboy too Do you think your toyota can make it? TA
  2. You will want 4x4 for sure. Don't need lockers though and I made it up there fine. It may take longer than expected especially with geocaching. You will have fun. I am unable to go unfortunately.. Trialgators and I went in one vehicle and it was fine. You may want to airdown also to enjoy it a little more. I never have driven up on the rock but that looks fun too. TA
  3. Locked eh? I guess that would exclude me..
  4. TDBEAN & Steve ............will be there at 7:00 I seems that it is suppose to rain tomorrow.. Better put your top on Nothin more fun than riding in water.. Unfortunately, I was reminded that I promised someone I would help them tomorrow morning. So I wont be able to wake up at 5:30am to get to Ramona. TA

  6. Sounds fun Robin.. I should be able to make it there for a day of fun. I may have my kids with me. Paul
  7. Version 2.3 of the software is out. Among the things fixed are: Added the ability to control the scale of the x and y axes of elevation plot . Tap the x-axis legend to zoom the x-axis. Tap the y-axis legend to zoom the y-axis Added option to save a geocaches as a waypoint Improved GPS performance The Colorado has manyu updates recently also. This has greatly improved the GZ functionality. I still prefer the 60csx though. Paul
  8. I will be there.. are you going to win the Wine certificate again? Paul
  9. Just saw this! Wow.. did you plant a cache on the way down? TA
  10. Cacher A hides a cache. Cacher B goes out to find it. Cachers A then hides another one to make cacher B go back out there and do the hike all over again. But what cacher A didn't know was cacher B hid two more when he was out there and didn't activate them until cacher A got back home. Cacher C waits a few days and goes out and finds all the new caches and also hides a few to get in on the fun and it starts all over again. And so on, and so on... Starting in the cold of winter may be good..
  11. I had three messages suggesting to archive. I did archive them. They were sitting disabled to long in areas where caching was restricted. I saw the messages as just that, a message. The Bionicle series has two caches, one of which has been muggled 4 times! Crazy... TA
  12. How many of us saved the picture and tried to zoom in? TA
  13. Thanks to everyone that went on the Otay drive. I had a great time with everyone and the views were not bad either.. Paul
  14. That is a great picture! It will be good to say hi to you again.. Paul
  15. Do you mean JUNE 7th???? We may go along also, we've done most of the caches up there, but there's a few along the way and a few more up on the Mtn. Thanks Paul, The Splashes Yes.. June 7th. - That's this Saturday everyone.
  16. ================================ Caching run on Otay Mountain Truck Trail When: June 7th, 2008 Time: 7:30am Where: Meet up/Carpool near GCQB76 Pocket Query - center on GC10B8Z "On a clear day" ================================ There is a group of us that wanted to go get the Otay Mountain Truck Trail caches before heading up to the "IHO: The Three Musketeers". We will be meeting up in the parking lot of the "Drats! This game is addicting!" (GCQB76) cache to caravan down Campo/94 to the turn off at (N32.63163 W116.76404). When we finish, we will be near Otay Mesa Rd (N32.58177 W116.91908). Initially, we are planning to stay on the main truck trail with a couple of spurs for some close caches. If time allows, we will be able to grab some more on other longer side routes (north of GC10B8Z). We will leave the parking area at 7:30 am to caravan down to start the on the trail by about 8:00 am. Also as a note, we will need to finish by 4/4:30 to get up to the event in time for those going. Currently going are: Polarbear, Eric and Hill, The Lost Clan, Zeber, The Fat Cats, M2, Canadian Grl and map4navigation. ...any one else is welcome to join us. It will probably be about 4 vehicles so far. Most vehicles can make the main drive, but you can get closer is you have higher clearance. Should be a fun day. I have my Tundra filled with Zeber and The Lost Clan riding with me. Zeber's niece may also join us.. I want to leave promptly, if possible. It is going to be a long day of caching. I would recommend bringing something for lunch for a bite to eat at noon and something to drink. Also, there are some really great views from this trail of Mexico and San Diego.. bring a camera. Thats the plan far... TA
  17. You think that is sneaky? I have an archived cache that nobody is watching.... I add three finds to it per week....lol... No wonder you haven't said anything about our extra posts on that same cache. If it wasn't for your cache, we'd probably only have a couple of hundred finds. I can see it now in the stats.... 3415 caches, 2 unique caches.
  18. Yep! http://img.geocaching.com/cache/log/3a6bdd...2b1dd92a49d.jpg From this log: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?LU...bf-72b1dd92a49d Thanks, the picture turned out pretty good. The GW6 page has so many pictures its hard to find the one you want. San Diego actually had a bigger contingent then what's represented in this picture, we just couldn't all get together at the same time. I saw another group shot somewhere of the SoCal Geocachers that included some of the other San Diego Geocachers. Here's the other picture. http://bgactor2005.googlepages.com/100_345...-full;init:.jpg Boy.. I did not see most of you there.. ?? TA
  19. Saturday, June 7th: Otay Mountain Truck Trail Time: To Be Determined (Probably about 8:00/9:00 am) I will be starting on the Hwy 94 side and work our way through all the caches. I already had some interest from other in going. I have heard from Lost Clan, Zeber and the Fat Cats. Anyone else is welcome. Most of this trail can be driven by 2x4 with a couple 4x4 spurs off the main road. This is a heads up for those interested in joining us. I am taking my tundra and may have some room for a person or two, depending on who is riding with me. I will post the time, meeting place later this week. Also, after the day of driving, we plan on heading north to the event for that evening. Paul Team Adelos
  20. A device that can play Wherigo is not considered special equipment sicne we hope that more and more (and more) devices will be compatible. Can you tell us what devices you see supporting this in the future? Would the Garmin 60cxs have a future firmware update adding this functionality, as an example? TA
  21. Anyone see the article about Borrego Springs and some new sculptures? http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/northco...1m26beasts.html TA
