    Send to GPS

Les Stroud uses an Oregon... But back on track, You have no control over the simple "send to GPS" utility that is provided on the site. If you want to configure how it is displayed when you upload it to your GPS you need 3rd party software (ie. GSAK) and premium member pocket queries
  2. Lets not hijack this thread with more talk of bringing back the ghost.... As an addition to Challenge Caches (Some of which i like, and some of which I abhor) Wouldn't it be nice to have the geocaching site give us a Souvenir when we complete a full grid? Or get a cache published from every month of a certain year? Here is a list of the Challenge caches in the Canadian Province of Ontario: http://www.geocaching.com/bookmarks/view.a...43-a4867b2bd5a7 - Which includes both "Published before a certain date, regardless of when it was found" and "Found AFTER a certain date, regardless of when it was published" styles of thinking

  4. Kind of the opposite of close - But book it in your calendar if you have purchased one for 2011 (June 11). SPRING FLING Zero-Zero-7 Yes, now that the snow has begun to fall, we are looking forward to spring again

  8. One of those lake Lake Simcoe? This container did not work very well by the way. It may be "waterproof", but not so much sitting at the bottom of a sub zero lake it seems. Pressure was too great, water got in through the seal and froze, I hauled up a metal container with an ice block inside..GC22EYF
  9. on top of a mountain on Manitoulin island, I met a 90 year old bike courier from Toronto who was on his vacation, and decided to bike here from the city (270 miles or 460 km). We had a good chat on the hill, and the view was surreal. I helped him back down the hill at his request, as he was "Still strong as an Ox, but as nimble as a drunken penguin".
  10. maybe it has to do with the number of hijacked threads i create
  11. There is a section for "Events and outings" on the Toronto Area Geocachers Forum: http://torontogeocaching.com/
  12. Maybe its the final cache in the Multi: http://coord.info/GCEABD Or the Puzzle Solution? : http://coord.info/GC1YMGZ
  13. Ask the owners of the caches you are having troubles with. After a while, you see patterns in peoples thinking, and begin solving them on your own! (hopefully!) Try this KAG tutorial as well: http://kingstongeocaching.com/tutorials/puzzle-solving101
  14. hmm, How big of a bear are you comfortable fighting? Human body can go about 3 weeks without food if it needs to. you wont last more then a day without water though, in some areas less. Absolute necessity when i go on long hikes: GPS, Pencil, water. Anything else is bonus.
  15. rare are the times when Tequila and Keith Watson Agree - So it must be true!
  16. ... That is strange about the 1 find account being the last finder of your cache. It could be someone who signed up for an account a couple of years ago, and never got into it. Or more likely, it's an alternate account for someone who didn't want to use their regular geocaching name. ... I suspect that account is used by peel regional police to determine if what they are blowing up is a geocache. Dollars to doughnuts, i bet they knew it was harmless before they blew it up.

Might want to look into it a bit. Canada is a fairly large place, and hotels are few and far between in North Ontario-i-o-i-o
