  1. Unbelieveble.

I can't believe this has happened, It was always inevitable....and to be fair (not trying to stir) but on the Al Queada scale of things this attack is relitively minor, I am happy it wasn't bigger yet still shocked and upset anything like this could happen so close to home.

I pray for anyone whose there and those waiting to hear.

    Peace

  2. I've removed all sorts of 'contraband' from caches in the past but I've not had to do so recently. Stuff like cigarettes, disposable lighters, A 'Zippo' lighter, matches, a pocket knife and a pair of very pointy nail scissors. On one occasion when I did a maintenance check on one of my caches, I discovered that it had been found by a 'muggle' who pointed out in the log book that I should 'get a life' and had left a 'little bit of something' to help. The plastic bag he'd left also contained 3 Rizla papers, a small piece of rolled up Rizla packet, a cigarette and two Swan Vesta matches. Needless to say, I removed this from the cache and disposed of it in an approved manner :D

    :D ha-ha-ha

Must say although that is shocking it is HIGH-ly amusing. lol :D

  3. I'm looking out. :anibad:

Great picture, and fun story! I did see the new image spinner on the front page and wondered if anyone I would have heard of might be on it. Now I know. :P

    SP

:surprise::P Don't worry SP I think you are safe from even more fame...haha...You already cracked the nations TV screens our Monitors can't handle it aswell...GC.com wouldnt put us through it.:P

  4. OK.. if you are on broadband, probably the best method would be to buy a combined wireless modem/ router. We use the Netgear WG834. That connects to your phone line and provides wireless access for any suitably equipped computer in your house.

By "suitably equipped" we mean any PC equipped with a WiFi card of some sort. If you instal the router near your main PC you can connect direct with an ethernet cable. Our notebooks and PDA are wireless equipped so we can connect to the internet with all of them simultaneously. All our PCs can connect to each other too.

Alternatively - and you'd have to get someone to confirm this - if you are on "dial-up" (nor broadband) then have your main PC connected to the phone line.... then equip the main PC and other PCs/PDAs with wireless cards and you should then be able to access the internet through the main PC. Problem with this is that the main PC must be switched on all the time. With the first method outlined above only the router stays on..

Hope that helps. There can be one or two minor problems setting it all up, but it doesn't need a specialist.

Arrrrrrgh you completly forogt one vital word in all of that...

Security! Make sure you lock it down. Too many people dont! Its shocking.

  5. The background not being there is also an issue for me....so many of my pages have the background on them too.

I personally think a happy medium in the size of the table is the best way to go..... Any bit of background is better than it currently is....

Apart from that its spot on in every way....Especially in Firefox!!!

Possibly think some curved edges wouldnt go a miss, butit isnt nesscesary.

  6. Like it.

All except the background thing....the only problem is the table on the left hand side! its been given a value to go directly down to the bottom.....if it didnt the table would stop at the bottom of the last left hand button and it would make all cache pages with backgrounds look so much better----Humpf!!

  7. LOL @Geo Ho...

I don't think I would swap her out of a cache thats for sure.

Although Geo Dating sounds like a good idea, Im not sure how it would catch on- I think the response would be void. But who knows, it might bring a few people together.

  8. How do actually agree to the disclaimer! theres no agree button on it

edit: Oh I seeeeeeeeeeeee, its all clear now.... *blushes*

This is a good new feature in my opinion! and way better than the 3rd party one that is floating around.

  9. I reckon this is the most pointless thing ever, It hardly give the guilty party any gain or anything so why bother.....

I say let them get on with it, its hardly a crime its just pointless. If the cache placer wants to delete the logs then I say fair enough, otherwise just let them get on with it.

Not even worth its own thread imo.
