  1. I would like to adopt one. Let me know what I need to do. Even though I have been signed up on here for many years I have not done this but a couple times. I found two caches about 12 years ago, but did not log them (didnt know I was supposed to at the time). I just recently decided to get back into doing this with my girl friend. Thanks, Dave. I will send you an adoption request for one of the coins. You accept the adoption and then you set up the mission for the coin. Once you have the mission set up, let me know and I will put the coin in a cache and you can watch it travel. It becomes your. Adoption request has been sent.
  2. As the title says pay it forward geocoin adoptions, I have 10 activated coins that I will be adopting out to the first 10 people who has 15 geocoins or less that replies to this post. I have all 10 geocoins. I will send you an adoptions request, you accept and set up the mission. When the mission has been created, let me know and I will place the coin in a cache.   3. You should be able to send the cacher an adoption request for the coin. Once they accept it, they should be able to edit it to put their name as the owner. It used to work this way. If they want the actual history of the coin they can put their cacher name/your cacher name. Haven't adopted one out for a long time. But I remember this thread and how much fun it was to send out coins and see if it would reach the intended cacher. I will have to dig out some activated coins.

  7. Maine Family's #33 landed in Colorado and has been picked up. Miles 588.
  8. Dofferson's #35, the one I placed, left Maine and landed in Bayern, Germany - 3,653.33 miles . Mine, Maine Family's #33, has been picked up but hasn't been placed. The cacher who picked it up, I think is traveling. The profile says lives in Colorado and he picked up the TB in Texas and is now in Louisiana.
  9. Maine Family's #33 has finally left the starting gate. Hope it has a wonderful adventure with lots of stories.
  10. Maine Family's number 33 is still in the cache, Abilene State Park, Shelter #2 that it was placed in for the start line. Brokev7's Hummer Racer Geocoin #12 is also still there too. Dofferson's #35 has been picked up and is traveling this Memorial Day Weekend.
  11. The one I placed, Dofferson's Blue Hummer #35 has gone 32.5 miles. Mine, Maine Family's Blue Hummer #33 is still at the starting line.

  14. mjom mjom ! Glad it arrived. All the missions we sent out has been received and we have all received ours so mission accomplished.

Don't worry, the only problem is i now have to untie the postman and release him from my dark dungeon since he obviously didn't steal my card :-) Packages get returned from The Netherlands and from Germany. What is going on I don't know. I sent one to the Netherlands for the Valentines one and it arrived pretty fast and no problems. This is my first one that has been returned and I have done many missions. It had arrived in the Netherlands because it had some slips on the envelope. What ever happened seemed to have happened after it arrived in the Netherlands. The one I sent last Friday, I am hoping arrives in one piece and soon.
  16. Dofferson,yours got returned to Maine. There wasn't much left of the packaging but the coins was there. Been repackaged with new and will ship out again today. Sorry.

  18. I am getting nervous. Out of the three that went international none have arrived yet. I even took it to the post office that knew how to ship international.
