So I was running through some caches I found and accidently logged one incorrectly. I put in the wrong ID. Is there any way to "un-log" it???
  2. I was wondering about 2 things....First, if one changes thier user name, do they keep everything? i.e. caches found etc...and do all the logs end up changing to the new name? Secondly, is it possible to switch my premium membership over to my wife's account for her to use permanently? Thanks
  3. Anyone know how to get archived caches off your list of caches you own. I have 2 that will never be reactivated, want to get rid of them.
  4. I have a cache that i archieved and will never re-activate due to the location. How do I have it removed from my list of caches? Bo
  5. actually they all can use regualar batteries as well. Garmin lists an alkaline batt pack as well.
  6. Anyone used a rino series for caching? Garmin site doesn't list it as "geocaching ready" but i downloaded the manual and there is a short section in there on it. Wondering if it is similar to my vista C.....
  7. Lets say I logged a visit to a cache and forgot to log the bug I dropped there by clicking on the list at the bottom. How do I go back and log that the bug was dropped there?
  8. I just bought a vista c. I love the size of this thing. It is TINY. Easy to use, gets a great signal, and the software is easy and intuitive. The compass feature is nice. They claim it uses extra battery, and as such they have a setting to turn the compass on and off depending on how fast or slow you are going for a given amount of time. For example. "turn on compass when speed is below 3 mph for 15 sec." all of which values you can change. I love the thing. In terms of maps and memory. I really don't often download maps, just cache waypoints. But I have been told that as long as you don't download a really dense area, for example maps from washington dc to new york city, you'll be fine.
  9. So i ordered my travel bugs through the web page. When I went to pay i used paypal, but noticed I never put in an address for delivery. Do they just use whatever address is on the paypal account?
  10. Out of curiosity, how would one take a cache off line? Or transfer it to someone else?
  11. One ultimate option you could use would be to put virtual pc on your mac. PM me and i can tell you how to get it for free. Then you can even run windows programs on your mac. The only downside is that now you are open to all those viruses and spyware junk that is out there to get those "real computers." It's funny how people who know nothing about macs always have to put in some comment......haha only teasing....
  12. I am looking at either a gpsmap 60cs or an e trex vista C. Any insights would be appreciated. The big differences i can see are the memory and as such the number of waypoints and the barometric calcualtions. Do i really need 1000 waypoints instead of 500? Thanks
  13. I have a premium membership. When I go to the map page i can see the choices on the right of what to display. The one i am interested in is the one showing caches you own/found. I have found a few now, but they don't show up as found on the map. There is a little asterisk next to it that says premium feature. Is this the same as the premium membership? Why do these not show up as found???
