  1. The simple answer seems to be to create an advert forum. I understand the people incharge are busy but i have run forums and it would take 5 minutes to do. Everyone has their own points of views. I personaly would enjoy reading topics solely dedicated to cache advertising as others would. Those who think there is no reason such as Jeremy.P for example (not a personal dig, simply an example after reading your thoughts) would not have to visit this section. There is no point in throwing aside someones point of view. There are people who would like this forum and yes we may all be stupid because we can read the cache pages for all the info we need, but we would still like it. All these discussions could then be ended and no one else would have to take a slating! I am once again open to 'constructive critisism' Dan. Dan Wilson (Team Dan and Pid)

  3. The topic about GPS mobiles got me thinking this week and i am considering creating a W.A.P site accesible by phones, where it would be possible to check by county/place name if you were near to a cache. This would prove helpfull for anyone who doesnt have expensive software and laptops. If you were on a day trip somewhere and wanted to do a cache you could simply check through this source. What does anyone think about this? would it be apreciated or unused? looking forward to any constructive comments on the subject. Dan. Dan Wilson (Team Dan and Pid)
  4. Best View - Lead Mines Most difficult - Anything by Lost in Space! I coul swer you dont hide your caches, just simply stand infront of a group of trees/bushes and throw it in. Cacher of the Year - J Stead (doesnt even need coordinates, just smells the cache and goes straight to it) Dan Wilson (Team Dan and Pid)
  5. This isn't meant as advertising before i get mauled! i would just like to inform anyone that was ever interested in the Pit near Penn cache that we have replaced it under the new title of 'Resurection (A Pit near Penn). It is Finaly back and this great site can once again be visited by cachers! Richard and Beth made the point that maybe we should have made it a virtual but i am prett sure this will last this time around as it is far better hidden. Like P.Howard said when he logged his visit on the page: "I have to say this was the best hidden cache I have yet found. A JCB would have been useful;-) It certainly won't be found accidentally." hopefully this time it will last, and you can all get to see one of the most interesting cache sites i have ever visited, hence the reason for making sure it was replanted. 7. There is one i did near blackpool named rufford branch and ofcorse the grand union canal cache, think there are others too. Dan Wilson (Team Dan and Pid)
  8. Does anyone know which is the county with the highest ammount of caches? I have to drive a fair way to get any new cache nowadays and i would like to visit somewhere where i could bag a lot at the same time to make it worth while! thanx. Dan Wilson (Team Dan and Pid)
  9. Not sure all this worrying is necisary although i can understand the point. If caches are placed blatently on private land thats up to the planter and they should accept the consequences if anyone complained. Its our own choice as to which caches we go for, no one can force us into anything. Think we should all remember this is supposed to be for fun and it will only be the end for the hobby when people start getting too serious about it. Dan Wilson (Team Dan and Pid)

  11. Like Tim and Junes Idea of a free for all but i think monz is right it would probably get really low. Im not sure a place to slag each other down would be welcome as a part of a friendly hobby but a free for all topic where personal comments wernt acceptable might be kool. Ok so im contradicting my own point but i think you all know what i mean. Dan Wilson (Team Dan and Pid)
  12. I like the separate forum idea. I have posted adverts here in the past and got blasted for it and i have learnt not to but i hate the way new people come to the forums sometimes advertising their first cache whatever and get a really rude welcome to the hobby, if there was a section where people could check out the latest additions atleast there would be no excuse for posting here. Not trying to make an argument just stating my views Dan Wilson (Team Dan and Pid)

Just wondering if anyone else collects certain things from caches imparticular? Recently i decided that i would collect books from caches so that when i move out i can have my own little cache library! i must thank P.Howard who has added 2 best sellers to my collection Dan Wilson (Team Dan and Pid)

  21. Not sure i would attempt a cache without a clue but it might be fun i suppose provided things wernt all that difficult! i cant imagine doing something like 'welwyn woodlands' without that extra bit of help although the clue wasnt exactly brilliant with 100 fallen silver birch trees in every direction we looked! 22. Please do mention it, this is my post and i dont mind you advertising your cache seeing its the whole point of my question! so name away! Dan Wilson (Team Dan and Pid)

  24. Personaly i dont mind what i find in a cache. The odd nice suprise is always good but my main goal in Caching is to complete as many caches as possible. I dont believe that what it contains really has much bearing on the persuit but thats just my point of view. Can i recomend that people who are put of by poorly presented caches with minimal prizes dont do 'Oxfords First Cache' check out the picture me and Pid got there posted on the cache page and you'll find out why Dan Wilson (Team Dan and Pid)
