  1. Saw this on the Facebook UK geocaching page and thought I'd join in Here is my teenage daughter doing a return of the Just Another cache (I was sitting on her legs so she could reach) and one of our 3 1/2 year old daughter enjoying finding the cache and seeing what toys were inside Ankle Corner
  2. Thank you. I've checked the TB number and it is correct. No joy with activation. I'll email Groundspeak now. Thank you!
  3. I have recently purchased two Cachekinz - both from Cache Addict. One has activated fine and the other I just cannot activate. I am using the generic activation code of 'cache' but I keep getting the message: "The Travel Bug you requested does not exist in the system." How do I get the TB/Cachekinz into the system? I have tried emailing Cache Addict twice but no response so far. I also contacted the third party supplier I purchased the cachekinz from but the person who can help seems to be constantly busy Anyone else got around this? Do I need to register it with Groundspeak or something?
  4. Thank you. I see many are now listing under Waymarking so I guess I'll need to have a login there too Hoping to make the Stonehenge one shortly so at least I'll have one on here
  5. Oh. Why can't they be created? I thought they were for interesting places where you couldn't leave a container?
  6. Hello everyone I have been looking at ghost/virtual caches around an area I am visiting shortly and it occurred to me that near where I live is a lovely area where there seem to be no caches, which I assume is do to SSSI area. There is, however, at the site a lovely monument which can be reached on a public footpath so as not to disturb flora and fauna around. I considered that this would make a lovely virtual/ghost (I think they are one and the same?) cache where you could get your photo at the site. However, I am not sure if there are any rules one needs to follow to create a virtual cache, other than it must not be close to another as per normal caches? Can anyone elaborate or point me to a thread please?
  7. Brilliant. Thank you. I'll get that sorted now
  8. Thanks, perhaps it was just an oddity. I'll try again tomorrow. I did wonder when both the geocaching.com app and the c:geo one failed at the same time!
  9. The last time I went caching (last Sunday) as I opened each cache detail up on my HTC phone, I could view the full description of the cache and also see previous logs, which often are almost essential in finding some caches! However, today when I went out, I could no longer see the logs under the individual cache (I tried live maps and 'closest' for the caches). I can see the full description but if I want to view the previous finds, I only get an option to 'connect to a browser to view' and then have to view the logs that way which, quite frankly, is pretty tiresome. Has something happened on the Geocaching app recently to cause this? I did look at maintenance but couldn't see anything. A friend who is using the free c:geo app also has the same issue so something seems to have changed. Can anyone please advise?
  10. Hello everyone I am new to Geocaching and loving every minute of it. It would be fair to say I'm pretty addicted and getting friends to feel the same way too I have a question though. When going out caching with a group of friends, is there any way when we collectively find the caches that one of us can log the find for all on our mobile phones? It seems at present each member needs to log the cache themselves which we have been doing. It seems to me that it would be useful if one person could enter a "Found it" with some details and then perhaps include @name and @name in the log which would then show up as a completed cache for that individual. Does that make sense? As we all have unique IDs, it seems possible to do this with the right technology. Any thoughts or can this be done already but we've just not found a way?
