I notice the Colorado screenshots are missing all the descriptive text like contour heights etc. Is this just a setting or are they missing completely?

Date *is* time. You cannot set the date in a GPS, only the timezone. If you do as Red90 said the GPS will discover the time *and* the date from the satellites. You need to leave the GPS somewhere with clear skyview until it locks onto its current position. This may take a while the first time. If that doesn't work then your GPS is faulty.

To put waypoints into a Nuvi: Connect USB cable to a computer. This exposes the device as a hard drive. Browse to the Garmin\Waypoints folder where you will see a gpx file (Waypoints.gpx as I recall) Drop another gpx file with a different name into the same folder. Disconnect the USB cable. All the waypoints in the gpx file will now be in the Nuvi.

I always considered the main point of the antenna was that it is high on your pack so better sky view and I guess that still applies to the 60CSx to some extent.

Well I always used an antenna with my 60CS so I've just continued the same with the 60CSx. It definitely does NOT make it worse and I think it still makes it a little better, but the difference is not as noticeable as the CS. It so hard to judge things like that objectively as even if you do the same walk again the satellites might be quite different. I must admit I'd love to ditch the antenna as the wire is a nuisance tangling in bushes. I'm also experimenting with battery saver mode as this extends the battery life back to CS levels. So far it seems to be just as good using battery saver even under trees but again its hard to be objective. With or without an antenna the 60CSx is way better than the 60CS with an antenna.

I asked this earlier in the thread but noone answered so I'll ask again: I see in the manual that the 60csx has a battery saver mode. Has anyone tried this and if so what effect does it have on the battery life and performance?

Does the 60CSx have a battery saver mode and if so what influence does that have on battery like?
