  1. This was a pretty neat mission. If you did organize another I'd be game! :-)
  2. I've been buying some coins on ebay but will be slowing down a bit now. I have a couple of grab bags that I bought (random coins usually 4-5 for around $30) that I'll be trying to do some trades with. Grab bags are a good way to get a few coins to start with too!
  3. Check out the pay it forward forum. Sometimes kind souls will gift you a coin to get started.
  4. What a fantastic use of shadows in the photo for the "ye ole booty" box. It's really quite stunning.
  5. I'm super excited! I've never won a cointest and I love the black nickle version of this coin. I need a "jumping up and down" smilie face! Thank you very much!
  6. I found some fun little things that represent my area on my trip to a couple of thrift stores and antique stores yesterday. This mission is pretty cool since it really got me thinking what my area is known for.. and There's a lots of things we're known for! It's like a treasure hunt finding things that represent those things! (and I do love a good treasure hunt!) I'm pretty excited! I plan on hitting the huge antique mall near me on my day off on monday. Can't wait to send my first mission on it's way. (As a side note I didn't include in my e-mail but mine will be including food/I don't mind recieving food.) I found a few more fun things today for the mission. It's turned into a cool history locality mission in addition to things that I enjoy in my local area. Can't wait to see who I get to see if I can pick out a few more things that will mean something to them that also speak to my area!
  7. that chiro cacher coin is so pretty!!! I love it! Nr neal made an amazing coin for his dogs! From the photo... the coin looks big! I had the feeling that this coin was a medium size or normal... well... is it in 2" ?? Reintje de Vos.... lovely coin!!! A fox?? I recently saw a video with a guy who had 2 foxes as pets!!! how that was possible?? they were so calm!!! Oh boy.... and I had the feeling I knew that name "Reintje"... I was sure I heard it again! It's a normal size coin...and a REALLY lovely one. The size perception probably comes from the fact that I use my web cam to take photo's right now.
  8. I'm sorry for you, but Reintje de Vos means Reintje the Fox The geocoin was made using the avatar that went with the geocaching nickname. So, this is a fox. link I did know that actually. But it does kinda look like a schipperkei!
  9. congrats! Maybe I'll get better at this someday..lol.
  10. Haven't had time to take photo's.. but I got 3 new dog coins. In memoriam Reintje Geocoin Cinema Boxers Suncatcher coin Dr. Neals Chiro Cache
  11. Such a fasinating thread I had to read in 3 parts! Hopefully Mr. Grey will include me in some future research plans. I am ready and willing. I believe!

  15. What stunning use of light and color. I applaud your photography skills! (feel better now? )
  16. Well, you already told us, so the mystery is all gone now. Touche.. (Bare with me.. I'm still new at this.. )
  17. so How do I go about I buying 50 trackable codes? I would attach them to the micros somehow. I like them so much I would be willing to attempt to attache a code to them and release them as a mystery micro trackable (instead of a mystery coin)
  18. I found these neat little pennsylvania Hex charms at an antique store today. The picture doesn't do them justice. They're bright enamel front and gold or silver blank backs. Bought a bag of 22 of them and am toying with the idea of making them into trackable micros. Any thoughts on what would be the easiest and cheapest way to go about doing that?
  19. who knew we'd get this far with a team that is from a state that's so warm. Go Sharks!
  20. I think we should call the box that KBfamily gets "A watched pot never boils"

It has a sheltie on it!!) Thanks!!
  22. My heart's desire is the "Gone to the dogs" geocoin. I have decided to collect dog themed coins.. and I can't believe that I found a coin with a sheltie on it!! Would love to own one. There's many breeds on that coin that I've helped turn into therapy dogs too so it made me smile. And there's many other breeds I've had in classes that make me smile on this coin.. It's just an amazing coin that I would love to someday find!
  23. I rebid... I hope this cute little sheep comes my way.. and I get to help out the cause!
