I've sent in a support request to Garmin posing my question. Of course, they don't exactly having lightning response... I have two PC's at home I can use to upload to my Garmin GPSr from Firefox. I may just jump in and see what happens on one of them in Firefox 3.0. I'll post my results here.

Not software I normally use, but it seems to be working fine. Thanks for the reply, Klatch. I'm a bit confused about which software you don't normally use (the newly released Firefox 3 and/or the Garmin Send to GPS plugin) and whether you have actually tried the combination of the two and verified it transfers the .gpx file to the Garmin GPSr properly.

I've downloaded, but not installed Firefox 3.0. I'm wondering if anyone has installed it and could verify whether or not the Send to GPS plugin works correctly with the new version of Firefox.

I had that problem, too. Very frustrating. Googling showed that doing the following in Firefox... Tools > Clear Private Data ...before each transfer was the charm. That has been working for me.
