  1. If you gotta pee, do it after you find the cache!
  2. That was very interesting. Sad too. Thanks for the link.
  3. By the looks of the shadow on your shirt, you're not wearing the bucket!
  4. I placed a cache in a nesting box that opened from the side. Birds couldn't get into it. The hole wasn't cut into the box. Very easy to make. Here is a link for directions: http://audubon.wku.edu/daviess/bluebirdnestbox-agfc.pdf

  15. I have lived in N.Cal. all my life and have never visited Mt. Diablo. I would like to take a drive there this spring to see the sights and find a few caches. Would someone please share a way point that would make a good center to start planning my search? Is there a cache at the top? Can we drive to the top? Thank you, Alan GeoSharks
  16. The Sacramento area has a fun group called The River City Geocaching & Dining Society. The web page is www.rcgds.net On the 2nd Saturday of each month members of the RCGDS get together for some food and conversation. We share geocaching stories and enjoy the company of fellow geocachers. If you need help getting started, you can post your questions here or on the RCGDS mail list. Instructions for the mail list are on the web site.
  17. STP, DC 3402 I thought I had two cracks until I used a flashlight to get a good look. With the light, I can see 4 cracks.
  18. http://www.geocaching.com/stats/img.aspx?u...a3a0&txt=I+Rock In the sample URL above replace the digits that appear after "uid=" with your gc.com profile ID. Your UID is available by clicking on a cache log. Your UID will be in your browser's Address box. You can add whatever text you desire after the "&txt=", but you must remember to replace spaces with the plus sign "+". See the sample above. ^ Neat huh? How can I change the image? I see if you add after the text a &bg= followed by a number from 1 to 4 the image changes. http://www.geocaching.com/stats/img.aspx?u...ing+Member&bg=1 http://www.geocaching.com/stats/img.aspx?u...ing+Member&bg=2 http://www.geocaching.com/stats/img.aspx?u...ing+Member&bg=3 http://www.geocaching.com/stats/img.aspx?u...ing+Member&bg=4
  19. 99.9% of the time it's TNLN. Often I grab the log and don't even look at the stuff. I bring a little swag along just in case.
  20. Fixed for me too. Thanks!
  21. Same here. I am logged on also.
  22. My Sportrak Pro has four very small cracks also.
  23. We have a group of RCGDS members that go kayak caching. Last fall we got together and did a few yakable caches on Folsom Lake. I think there was 6 kayaks and a canoe. We had a great time. Many of us have also done yakable caches on Lake Natomas and along the American River. I think of you were to place a handfull of yakable caches along a route that could be found within a few hours, people would come. I'm not talking about multi's. I'm sure we would get a group together to find those.
  24. There is one in Maui that you stay under water to do. It has a divers slate for the log. Take a look at King Kahekili . It's a fun one. I'm sure there are more out there. Alan
