Agree. I miss this too.

Adding the ability to use the functionality of the "personal cache notes" that you can use on every cache page would be extremely useful. Many puzzle cachers and multi-finders use this feature extensively.

So atm I see Labs in my overall count but not in stats? It means my Stats count and actual count are different. Why not just add them to all stats and if Ground speak choose not to go forward with them then treat them like a grandfathered cache type that no longer exists?

 

Check it again tomorrow. Lab caches are slated to start counting towards all of your stats starting June 3rd 2014.

You do a bunch of PQ's and run five a day that gets you 5K a day. If have an app with API access like GSAK you do 6 of those for another 6000. That's 11K each day. You then need to convert them to gzz using GSAK or one of the other apps and load that file. Personally I take a small netbook to use GSAK and download caches as I travel. Heck they are cheaper than your gps and are real handy. And having the thousand closest to,where I am stopped seems to fill my needs.

 

You could even get the PQ's to your gps from your Android phone and upload your field notes daily.

 

Can you please elaborate on getting PQ's to your gps from your Android phone. How do you do it?

[Problems with cache records]

I am having the same problem and it did not go away after logging a new cache. Under Geocaching/Your Profile/Statistic it shows "You've found 1140 caches (1139 distinct)" I tried to use GSAK but not sure how to set "get geocaches" so it only finds the caches I have found. Any suggestions?

You did double check for an accidental double log. May happen more often & without noticing if you use the app (then sent it) then did another log on the computer back home.

 

Right, It was a double log but I was having problems figuring out which of the 1140 caches it was.

 

The way I finally did it was to do a MY FINDS Pocket Quiry in Geocaching.com.

Then in GSAK I added a column to the database that shows finds. It's called the Fcount column. (View/ Add/Remove Columns and then check "Foound Count"). The column returns a 0 for unfound caches, a 1 for single logs and YES a 2 for caches you have double logged.

 

I then simply imported the My Finds gpx file into GSAK and clicked on the new column and the double entry came right to the top.

OK but if that's the case and you have the cache on Watch List wouldn't you get a second email after it has been edited?

I don't think that's the case here because if you look at the actual logs they have not been edited and the watchlist notices are emailed almost instantly so if the were first logged as finds that email would have been sent first.

I have a watch list on a cache.

Twice now when another cacher has logged the cache as a DID NOT FIND, the email that is sent says that the Cacher FOUND it.

[[BUG] Newsletter is sent as HTML-Mail]

Could you tell us what it is about the text formatting you prefer? From our side it is a bit limiting and also requires more resources to support than a strictly HTML newsletter. If enough users are in favor of the text-only format we may bring it back.

 

The reason I want text format BACK is because I get my mail in AOL browser and when you send newsletter in HTML I can not see any of the graphics in AOL. You should check it out.

It was running very slow for me as well but I cleared the browser cache after reading another post on this forum and guess what, it cleared up the problem.
