  1. I did that last Saturday!
  2. Welcome! I'm new here, too. Just found my 4th last weekend (almost a 5th, too). It is quite addictive. I've already got plans for this weekend - I picked up a TB Saturday and will be going to Delaware to help it reach its goal. Seems like I'm always in this site, too!
  3. Enjoy every moment! I wish geocaching was around when my kids were young, too. However, my youngest, now 26, is my adventure buddy. He (and I)are getting (back) into camping and backpacking and I'm going to incorporate geocaching into this with him. I have my 1st grandchild on the way. Boy or girl, caching is in it's future! I can't wait!!!
  4. Points all well taken. Thanks.
  5. Hi all. I'm new to geocaching - just logged my 4th find today. There was a TB in the cache that I retrieved to move on. When I checked the TB's number, it was logged as being in another cache a few miles away. it was apparently removed and not logged out and moved to this cache and not logged in. I posted a note on the TB owner's page stating that I grabbed it from a different location and listed that location. Is there anything else I need to do? Is there anyway to map it to show that it had moved to the new cache before I grabbed it? It looks like when I place the TB in a new cache, there will be no map record of where it really was today. Thanks.
  6. My Nuvi manual even stated to wipe the ring off the windshield. I have my window broken out and Nuvi stolen on Thanksgiving day a couple of years back. Really sucks, I'll tell you. In my case, I left the Nuvi in plain view while I went after a cache in a very upscale neighborhood, thinking that it was a safe area. But in hindsight, that it was an upscale neighborhood was probably why the theives were cruising that area. My nuvi was stolen out of our car last Christmas Eve. I think the suction cup marks on the windshield was the telltale sign. I plan to keep a box of wet wipes in the car from now on to address that problem. However, it was only while I was learning the features of the replacement nuvi that I discovered geocaching! How bizarre! If my 1st gps hadn't been stolen, I would still be clueless about this! But the addiction has already set in!
  7. No guns here either (yet). However, I pity the fool who may come into my house "uninvited". My mastiffs would not like that. Nope, not one bit!
  8. Hi all, I'm very new to the world of geocaching and am already intrigued with geocoins. I'm sure this is a very basic question with a very simple answer, but I have not been able to figure it out yet. When you go to the Geocoin Information Page, a map is displayed with coins in caches near my home. How do you expand this to show more than just the few close to home. In a couple of weeks I plan to be hiking about an hour away from home and would like to see if there are any coins in that area. Thanks in advance.
