  1. This is a Travel Bug thread - so I'm moving it to the Travel Bug forum.
  2. Huh? What does marijuana have to do with this? Right. I don't even hear the train coming yet, much less the train wreck and resulting derailment. Let's keep it on topic. Thanks.
  3. I have merged the two threads together. Though wesleykey's 2 responses at the top are before yours, they're from the original thread that broke.
  4. Please use the existing discussion for the recent site changes.
  5. I'll send you an e-mail about this. Some work with them was done a while back, so I'll put you in contact with the person who did that. It's in the guidelines, and if they have a formal approval process (see my e-mail) they'll be able to rest assured caches will not be buried. We can take this off the forums from here. Thanks! /Q
  6. Thanks for the link. Closing duplicate.
  7. I think this is the first time in 3 years I've had one of these. I should try harder.
  8. I know that, however if you shoot for a minimum of 528 feet, you should be okay. The issue was the "I can't find any rules to the distances of placing caches" when they've placed several. It's not hidden. I get emails all the time asking "Is this location okay?" or "I know there's a cache nearby that's probably too close, but can I place one here? [gives coordinates]" Had one of those yesterday, as a matter of fact. I don't have a hard and fast rule of distance, every situation is different. If they provide coordinates, I'll give a yes or no. If they say "Within a couple hundred feet" I let them know I need more info, mostly exact coords are good.
  9. A few things with library caches that tend to hold them up a bit: Don't forget permission from the library Don't forget to use GPS somewhere along the way (not just the coords to the front door)
  10. This information is posted on the website, no need to e-mail anyone to find out what the public information is. When you submit a cache, you check a box that says you read the guidelines. They can be found at http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx
  11. Done. edit: TeamAtlas - do a search of the forums (and Google) for Geowoodstock and you'll find all of the information you need!
  12. Moving to website forum.
  13. Feel free to dispute the facts/perceived facts all you want, but remember the Forum Guidelines when you do so.
  14. Merged the new topic with the old one.
  15. Fixed to avoid confusion. A LB hybrid can be pretty much any cache type, not just a traditional with a stamp. You talked about other options in the rest of the post, but the first bit could be misunderstood. Doesn't have to be a traditional cache (ie at the posted coordinates). It must be a physical cache, and GPS must be used at some point.
  16. Depends on the situation. I can't give you a blanket YES or NO, but IT DEPENDS. Will just have to leave it at that.
  17. Sure, if you review the location of the cache by name only.
