  1. So how does it work? When do reviewers know there's a listing waiting? I look at my queue.
  2. I often refer people to this FAQ: http://www.markwell.us/addwp.htm
  3. Since you've posted this in the update thread (that is being monitored), I'll close this one. Thanks, Quiggle
  4. Been there, too, Jerry. Glad to see your avatar here posting
  5. In years of reviewing and geocaching, I've never come across any guideline that says you need a certain ratio. From the forum guidelines at http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?act=boardrules The same goes for hide/find counts. Are your questions or posts any less valuable because you've only been here a year?
  6. These glasses make me look old but they help me spot problem caches when my old ones wouldn't. Husband doesn't like them on me, but I review on my own time so he doesn't know I'm still wearing them.
  7. Merged the 2 "Tribute-Memorial caches" threads.
  8. Yep I archived it before since that is what I was told to do before I really thought about using it again. This is more for future experience at this point. Unless it is possible to unarchive it and have it published. You can't unarchive it, but your reviewer can probably do it if you send an e-mail through their profile.
  9. Forum burp ate this one. Feel free to start a new one.
  10. He explained that already. Reread the "We long ago said..." paragraph. As a moderator, I can't possibly read every post or thread here. If you think the post(s) violate the forum guidelines, then report it to draw it to the attention of the moderators. Don't assume it's okay just because a mod hasn't stepped in to address it.
  11. This is the method I prefer. Or even leave the box checked so it goes into my queue, and make sure it's CLEAR on the cache page not to publish it. Of course if there's an issue with the listing I won't publish it anyway
  12. Fixed. Stages that are listed using the virtual WP types "Reference Point" or "Question to Answer" don't count against the proximity guideline. What about someone with a 10 stage multi who has virtual stages yet sets their waypoints as "Stages of a Multicache" to protect them? I once listed a cache 20 feet away from a virtual stage of a cache because the stage was listed as a "Question to Answer". I got an e-mail from the cache owner who was not happy that the stage was spoiled (people who were finding the cache were posting pictures, drawing attention to this 'item') The waypoint was changed to "Stage of a Multicache" and is now protected, even though it's not a physical stage. Therefore you can't always go on physical vs non-physical as your scenario suggests, but it's close in most cases!
  13. The guidelines ARE enforced as they're written: Are you saying it's a reading comprehension issue?
  14. PLEASE don't announce it here when updates are submitted.
