I know for sure that i find a hidden one here when we are on the road for a nice day of Waymarking. Only in The Netherlands: 2010: 166,000 e-bikes 2011: 181,000 e-bikes Worldwide, there are now approximately 21 million electric bikes sold. What is an electric bicycle ? The electric bicycle is a bicycle with an electric auxiliary engine and a rechargeable battery. You can get there with and without motor drive on bikes. In China there were already very long electric bikes on the market, but this phenomenon was completely ignored in the West. That came partly because the Chinese electric bicycles were very loud and clumsy log and electric motors. In addition, they saw there not very elegant. In the West has yet picked up the idea a few years ago, and with much ingenuity and created a modern implementation of innovative technologies. That is the current electric bike, which in Netherlands and also sold very well worldwide. How does the electric bicycle works ? An electric bicycle is in fact very simple. In a peer review says a good WM Member often "Why dont you put it in the forum first before you ask for a peer review" But the most voters never visit the WM forum. So they don't read or respons for the cons & pro's. And the most common words in there decline is "boring" I think Groundspeak don't take that declines seriously. Grtz John

Dear Max and 99 Thx for your fast reply. Maybe i don't understand this one what is writen in the Help. And can you help me. LINK I make a group: ok. When i have 3 officers i can make a category: ok. Peer review: ok. But at the last line of it is writen: How many categories can I create? "As a Premium Member you may create an unlimited number of categories. " I don't understand that, is that in the group you have made ? So are there groups who have more then one category ? Grtz John

@ fi67 THX I know a perfect Christmas present for you or your wife. A new battery, but don't forget to charge that one too because you have the same problem as now these days. But you can ride an e-bike even with a low battery. I have take a look on Google and the first hit for Swiss was: - 27 Charging stations reported on LINK - 1 happy e-biker who found one on febr,12 2011 in Zug, Swiss LINK and also many nice Hotels who have an e-bike charging station located in your beautifull Swiss. A little comment on your note: they are not standing only in The Netherlands and maybe in Denmark. I don't agree that i'am a little bit early with my proposal because e-bike charging stations are coming, And they are coming faster than everybody thinks. All over the world. That's why i put it first in this forum to make a discusion about it and make a little test page so all Waymarkers on this forum can get an idea how it looks like. I didn't contact the Group Owners of the Electric Car Charging Stations (good category and also growing), because i see that as an other group and locations. I can't charge my e-bike at an e-car station here. E-bike chargers are mostly standing on tourist and WM interesting locations. They have also a grid with a car in it. And churches and statues have there own grid and category. So why not one for a new e-bike group ? Description of Waymarking. " Waymarking.com provides tools for you to catalog, mark and visit interesting and useful locations around the world. " -Catalog: You CAN'T find ALL e-bike charging stations on the internet in one click. Every manufacturer has his own. If i search for a e-bike charging station in The netherlands i must click several sites to find one nearby. If they don't made it they don't show it. So this is a good opportunity for WM to catalog them on one site. -interesting and useful locations around the world. Thats how good Waymarking works. Needs no further explanation i think. I have created a new group and want to discuss and create interest in this group. My opinion is that its an interesting group because you visit nice locations when you search them. And you can search theme too by car. Nice WM locations were you find E-bike charging points are for example. Museums, Information desks in National Parks, Childrens Farms, Tourist Information Points, Publice Houses, Pubs, Bicycle Shops, Restaurants, Camping Grounds, Hotels, B&B's and so on. You park your e-bike at a charge point and it will load the battery. Meanwhile You take a rest at a terrace and drink a cup of coffee or take a walk in the village and you can search for other WM or visit some. Most of them are free (The Netherlands) or you paid a small fee. Or drink a thea or coffee or eat a meal and it's free too. Further you see here "Electric Bike Charging Stations." a little example how it looks in the group. I hope everybody likes it so let me know. Comments are also welcome. Grtz John

@ Max and 99. Thanks for your reply, maybe i had a bad day yesterday. But. If no one post a photo with his visit we can't control the condition of that WM. And the visiter only said "visit it" or "seen ït when i drove by" But if he or she post a photo with it we can see if somethings wrong with it. For example. In our Category ANWB Paddenstoelen we collect Mushrooms for bikers. So they can see the distance to a town nearby. There are more then 6000 of them here in The Netherlands. Normaly they are white and have a unique number. When a mushroom is stolen, broken, incomplete or you can't read them anymore AND we see that on the photo from a visiter it will be a good help for us. And if we have a question about the photo on location we contact the visiter for more information that can help us. We report that to the ANWB and they take action about that mushroom to replace it. But if they replace a new mushroom they will get another color, red and white and they get another new unique number. So that means that the original posting is not relevant anymore. With the Photo information we can edit the posting. So we keep the WM's up to date. A Photo says more then words in a visit. Thats not only for the Mushroom Catergory but also for Cycling Routes & RD Meetpunten. We contact the authorities if we don't trust something. This is just one example why i find a Photo so importent posted in a visit.

Good opportunity for cheaters if you don't ask for a visit photo. I don't trust some WM members. I follow some a while. They only will score WM points. Some of them have to many visits in a short time and mostly they are visiting WM's were a photo is not required. Or they promise to post the photo later. Read this as NEVER. This is 2012. When you go outside for Waymarking you know that the importend equipment to take with you is a GPS & a camera. But most posters of a new WM didn't control the visits. And if you don't delete the visit without photo the cheater is satisfied and goes on to another WM te visit at the same way. Scoring another point. Take a look at Geocaching, totaly no control and some Cachers (cheaters) create an enormous score. My opinion is that it must be a rule on Waymarking to ask for a photo in every new category. If it's not ask in the description Groundspeak must decline the new category. Correct me if i'am wrong.

YES ! We have many in The Netherlands. We call them Photo Unique Locations. So if you stand for a frame its the best location to take a picture. A few weeks ago I saw one in the front of the (Famous) Van Gogh house in Nieuw Amsterdam in Holland. If you stand for this frame you can imagine how Van Gogh see the bridge in front of his house. I look in my picture archive but i can't find any pictures of a frame. Next time i think about to make a picture of it. It's not a WM yet soo i was forgoten it. I give it a YES. Grtz John.

Yes indeed Mrs. terratin. I heard about this Dutch initiative here is the link (sorry its in Dutch) LINK Thousands of Free Drinking Points in The Netherlands are made until 2020. So i think it's a good idea because other Countries wil follow this Dutch initiative. Grtz John.

Hi, Today i found 3 Memorials on one location in The Netherlands. BUT i don't know were to post them. They are all not posted yet. I would place them in one category otherwise there are 3 grids on this location. Memorial 1: UN Unifil Memorial, 9 names on it, soldiers who died on a peace mission in Lebanon (1979-1985). Memorial 2: ISAF Afganistan Memorial: 2 names on it, also soldiers who died on there peace mission (2008). Memorial 3: 1945-1948 Memorial, 30 names on it, Soldiers who died on a war mission in Indonesia. All names on it are Dutch Soldiers who died on there mission. The Captain i spoke today was very pleased to hear that i would like to post theme on Waymarking (internet). It's a perfect location, behind the Memorials are standing 2 Tanks. One Unifil white edition and a camouflage green one. Also a bust of a famous Dutch Prince in 1700. Who gives a good idea for it. Grtz & Thx. John.

Hi, A good Castle is like a Palace to living in. In The Netherlands our Queen lives in a Palace, but its not a Castle. We say for example where a Queen or King lives we call it a Palace. We have many in Holland but again they are not almost an Castle. We have some palaces: Palace of the Queen or the queensmother. Palace of Justice. Dutch definition of a palace. "A Palace is a Office building that has a public or ceremonial function" They are very beautiful to see and they will always be. Because i must pay tax for it from my income. I give it a yes if it has the name palace in it. Its an mistak for the reviewing in group Castles. Many Castles are not built for defensive purposes. If it looks like one they will accept it. They will beter leave that line. Give it a go an accept it only when they have the name Palace in it. Grtz John
