  1. Some other items to add: 1. When going to a waypoint or geocache, how about a prompt to go "On Road" vs. "Off Road". The only way I see how to switch between the two is going into setup>rounting>guidance method. 2. Screen listing "Turn by Turns"
  2. Is Garmin listening to us? If so, how fast are they going to react? Is there this much buzz on other forums ( e. g., hiking forums) about the Colorado?
  3. When you have an area where you want to place a cache and there are others close by. You download those nearby cache and put a .1 mi proximity radius around them. Then all you have to do is place your cache outside of those proximity rings and you are .1 mi. away from a cache. However, that doesn't include stages of a final to a multi or the final to a puzzle.
  4. This question is buried in another thread so I would like to restate it. I cannot remember since my Colorado is defective and had to be returned, is there a proximity setting on the Colorado. This is very handy when placing a geocache, making sure you are .1 mi. away from another. Also does the proximity circle show on the map?

  6. Or if there is any other links to forums or websites that discuss Garmin's response, please post them here.
  7. Meet & Greet Groundspeak & Garmin in Seattle I would like to see what the Garmin folks say about our concerns with the Colorado. If you attended, please report your findings here. We are all very interested.
  8. Well guess what happened? I powered the unit on and no maps. The topo maps are gone. Called Garmin and yes, the machine is defective. It did a memory dump and there is no way to correct it. I have to return it. C'est la vie!
  9. Anybody have the external power cord for the Colorado? How does it work? Where does it fit? Do you have any pics?
  10. I agree cache data is great, but it is also a step back to get that step forward. Especially a $599.99 step. Also do we know for sure that Garmin is going to resolve these issues? Maybe there is a lot more hikers/trail runners out there that the heart rate monitor issues may need to be resolved than there are geocacher? Would be nice to see them chiming in!
  11. Please explain: The geocaches don't show on the maps. There is no Found button that logs into a calander. Road name do not show. No waypoint averaging when marking a new waypoint for hides. Waypoint symbols aren’t visible in list views Geocaches don't show up in "Recent Finds" list. 80' is the smallest scale viewable.
  12. Talk me out of returning my Colorado and getting a 60 CSx. I'm really disappointed about spending the cash and none of the geocaching features work.
  13. Do you have a time frame when we might expect Garmin to do these updates?
  14. With the Palm you can download a GPX file from www.geocaching.com and have all the cache information, hints, prior logs, etc..... No more printing out all those cache sheets.
  15. Will also consider without the City Nav. software. Email me an offer.
  16. I've had one super low ball offer and another I'm considering. Are there any more offers out there?
