  3. My guess is that you inadvertently enabled Reader View, that simplifies the webpage. To enable/disable it: https://www.imore.com/how-use-reader-view-safari-iphone-and-ipad
  4. No; the only rule is: 3, 2, 1 Go! requires you to go on at least six geocaching outings between December 11 through January 1 So the 2-item is invalid. Thus it should be more like: 6,3,1,go (can we make even better mistakes ...)
  5. If my memory serves me right, it has to do with the order in which the filters are applied. (there should be a forum thread about it; but iI could nit find it) First it determines all caches along a route with the dstance given; BUT only gets a maximum of 1000 caches. Then it applies the rest of the filters, in this cahces virtual+eartcache on those 1000 preselected in the first step... The endresult will be more or less a random selection of the caches in the filter. You can test this by comparing all the earthcaches/virtuals in the complete CachesAlongARoute versus a PQ with no extra filtering in the CachesAlongARoute. They should be the same.
  7. Then my guess is that the gmapsupp (636 Mb) is for the OpenFietsMap And the birdseye maps should be in \Garmin\BirdsEye. You can remove all the files from this directory. BirdsEye is like a google satelite map, but takes a lot of memory because of all the pictures. Are you located in the same region as the person you bought the GPS from? Or rather: are his/her maps on the GPS of any use to you ? You can find the openstreetmaps on: http://garmin.openstreetmap.nl/
  8. No, you should not delete these as they are the maps you see on your GPS. Although you could delete OSM roadmap if you really need the space. gmapsupp.img is also a map that is added by the user. We can not tell from the name what map it is. If you list all the maps you can enable on the map-screen of your Dakota you can deduce which map it is. Does the Dakota say it is full, or is the disk full when you try to add something from your PC ? Check the map \Garmin\GPX on your Dakota; everything in that map (these are the caches that are saved to the GPS) can be deleted.
  9. First I would use a table, instead of 52 different variables. Then it is easy to first fill the table with the values 1 to 52, en then shuffle the values, so you get a random set. Shuffle like: function shuffle(tbl) for i = #tbl, 2, -1 do local j = math.random(i) tbl[i], tbl[j] = tbl[j], tbl[i] end return tbl end (see e.g. https://gist.github.com/Uradamus/10323382 )
  10. They are different variables, so it all depends on what you want to achieve. If the value does not need to be remembered you can use the 'simple' version. If it has to be remembered, you have to use the cartridge-object. But you can use it direct (with some extra runtime overhead) so no need to copy it to a local var. So you can just do: cartridge = { my_variable = "initial value" } // cartridge.my_variable = "modified value" Wherigo.Command("SaveClose") If needed you can use the OnRestore method of the cartridge to Enable/Disable zones, Tasks etc, or set other variables
  11. You are correct in your addendum: var_name are normal LUA variables and have to be set and restored by the programmer. ZVariables.var_name are part of a special object that will be automatically saved and restored by the Wherigo system buildervar.var_name are helpobjects to remember what the user defined for the var in the builder. (not all builders use this system) So, if you don't need persisent variables for save/load you can use var_name. If you want your values to be remembered during a save/load, you have to add them to the object ZVariables.
  12. You can search for the first attribute; than add them all to a bookmark list. Then search the second atttribute add them to the same bookmarklist, etc. Finally create a PQ from the bookmarklist.
  13. No, it is not possible to delete a Wherigo cartridge. If you dont want anyone to play it anymore, you could 'edit' the cartridge to simple one-zone immediately ending cartridge...
  14. Because: a) that is where the TS found most/all of his/her caches b) part of the coordinate is also given in the first post
  15. If you know it is in Belgium, it is not that hard to figure out what the solution is (even without finding the codetable) However: we are not allowed to give solutions or hints to geocache puzzles on the forum.
  16. That is not quite the case. English is only on the 3rd place. First is Chines/mandarin that is spoken by 17% of the world population. Followed by Spanish with 6% and then English with 5%. (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_languages_by_number_of_native_speakers ) It would be nice if there was an attribute for 'translated' (into anything other than the country language) but I won't hold my breath...
  17. The 3 day limit is only applicable to the special 'My Finds' query. Every other PQ can be run as often as you wish; bar the limits on 10/day etc
  18. Technically you can, but you should not do that. The 'loophole' is specially created by HQ to allow non-premiums to log a premiumcache (e.g. familymembers) Of course you can delete the log if they have not found the cache / did not write in the logboook.
  19. Your pocket query's are deleted when they have a line through them. They will still show because you have generated these PQ's, and as long as the downloads of these PQ's are available they stay in your list. After 7 days they will disappear completely.
  20. Door weer opnieuw naar de PocketQueries te gaan https://www.geocaching.com/pocket/ en daar de betreffende PQ te wissen, of door deze te wijzigen en geen dagen te selecteren waarop de PQ gegenereerd moet worden.
  21. My guess would be in the naming of the zone, or in the text of the message displayed. There are some keywords that get picked up by the builder even when they are embedded in a name or text string.
  22. There are 2 options to unlock a Wherigo cartridge: 1) upload a .gws file; this file can only be created by the original Wherigo player for pocketpc (=windows mobile) 2) enter the unlockcode for the cartridge. This should be displayed in the player after you have finished the cartridge But there is not really any need to unlock a cartridge, since it will do not very much: -set an indicator on the Wherigo page that you have 'completed' it - the only indication is the number of 'completions' on the Wherigo-page There is no list of completed Wherigo, nor can you filter on it in the search
  23. Be aware that it is a very old model Etrex. Your use of the cable will be limited to uploading waypoints only. (and very small portions of a map) It has no Geocaching mode. (The cable is a USB to serial adapter with a special plug for the Etrex)
  24. Dan zit je waarschijnlijk in de testgroep van GC. Je vindt dan de filter opties grotendeels terug op de kaart... Via de kaart kan je dan weer kiezen voor een opt-out om de oude omgeving weer te krijgen
  25. You don't need the GPS-Reader-APP because you do not want to read the GPX file on your Mac. (you want to read the GPX on your Garmin) Just copy the GPX file (don't open it) to the directory \Garmin\GPX onyour GPS
