  1. I had 4 PQ's set to run for Sunday. Two ran, one at 12:38:57AM, the other at 12:39:01AM, neither of which have come through in gmail. I un-checked the two that didn't run, made copies of them, and checked for Sunday. They were processed almost instantly at 8:23:43AM & 8:23:59AM respectively. Both showed up in gmail @ 8:23AM & 8:24AM respectively (corrected for the 3 hour time difference between west & east coast). SOMEthing is definitely wrong.
  2. I voted for ya. Only 1% difference, Pizza 17%, Mustang 16%. Good luck.
  3. 71 in a month and a half, used to work, but not for the last 8 years.
  4. Uh oh! I thought it MY account that was suspended! I checked here, nothing. Sent an email to Clyde asking (begging?) him to reconsider. Thought I'd check here again and here's this thread. Oh well. Sorry Clyde, just ignore the whine
  5. After reading your description of the problem and seeing the screen shot, I thought it looked similar to M$ Streets & Trips, which I use extensively for cross country trips. I use area avoidance fairly often, but hadn't used it in MapSource, so I just went to Help, clicked the Index tab and typed in avoidance; it popped right up. Took a bit of trial and error to figure out how to get rid of an avoidance area once it was there, the help wasn't too clear on deleting it. Glad it worked out for you.
  6. According to MapSource Help, this is a Route Avoidence. "Route avoidances are roads or areas that you prefer to avoid when calculating routes. MapSource will not incorporate these areas into your routes unless there is no alternative." To get rid of it, find an area with the hatch lines, click on Edit => Preferences. In the Preferences dialog, click on the Advanced box. If it's grey'd out, insure that the Use Auto-Routing radio button is selected. You should see a Manage Route Avoidances box come up with a "thumbnail" of the area in a box on the bottom. Left click on the hatchlined part, it should turn purple. Just above this, there should be two magnifying glass icons, and to the left of them an "X". Click on the "X", the click close, click apply, click OK and you should be good to go. HTH.
  7. About the only way I've found to remove Custom POI's from my 60Cx is like fratermus said: mount the SD card, use Windows Explorer to delete the Garmin/POI directory. DO NOT delete the Garmin folder with the "gmapsupp.img" file, though; that's all the maps you downloaded. The only thing that changes in your GPSr is that the Find Custom POI option goes away until you download more POI's.
  8. Having the same problem. Had 5 scheduled for today, got one of the 5. They've all been run (bold type) and all within 15 minutes of one another. Using gmail, have never had a problem with them in the past.
  9. Both links worked for me on Firefox & I.E. on my desktop & laptop 'puters.
  10. I've also noticed this, however it IS editable, at least on mine. If you're seeing the Any Cache Type box empty and the chosen types dimmed out, just click on the Any Cache Type box, you should get a check mark, then click again and the check mark should go away and your chosen types should be bold and editable again.
  11. Same problem here. I have 2 PQ's I run of my finds, the 1st one should have 491 (and does if you do the online preview) but the email version only contains 72. The 2nd one should have 41; both the preview and the email version are correct, with the last 5 logs. The My Finds PQ seems to be OK, the full number of finds and only my log. Hopefully the "FIC" (folks in charge) are aware of the problem.

    Pq Problem?

I see the same thing as Team Neos; logger & date only on March 26 and later. A couple March 26 entries DID have complete logs which leads me to belive that sometime on Sunday something in the PQ engine changed. Hope this helps in troubleshooting.

Looked like a scam to me! Questions 1, 2 & 3; year born? what done in last year (all that apply) and been geocaching before? click next - questions 4, 5 & 6; year born? what done in last year (all that apply) and been geocaching before? click next - questions 7, 8 & 9, year born? what done in last year (all that apply). Third time around just clicked next w/o checking answers -- RED LETTERS: YOU MUST FILL OUT QUESTIONS 7, 8 and 9! Looked like a major scam like I said. Went back to email and opted out, but that could have been a typical spam scam in itself.
  14. I've got a little utility called GeoBuddy (file size 176kb) that merges .loc files. However, it seems as though it now belongs to TopoGrafix. The download still works, and it needs no installation, just click on the .exe once you download it. You can also use EasyGPS to merge .loc files. http://www.geobuddy.com/download.asp Don't post enough on here so don't know how to post a link, sorry. Edit: Huh, did it automatically
  15. Hi Clyde I discovered this possible bug in v6.0.2 B=24 a while back, checked v6.5.0 B=53 this morning and get the same result. When using a macro to export an HTML file, if I click on the "abort" button the macro aborts as expected. However, GSAK then locks up after clicking on OK in the Generation aborted by user button. I can't minimize it nor close it, and all the normal functions are frozen. I can click on the Show Desktop button on the Quick Launch, activate & use any other app., so it's just GSAK that's locked. I've tried starting a new iteration of GSAK but it doesn't help. The only way I've found to exit is through the Task Manager, highlight GSAK and End Task. It doesn't seem to matter if other apps. are running or not. Win XP Home. Also happens on my laptop v6.0.2 B=24 using Win98SE, the only way out is CNTRL-ALT-DEL & End Task. Another oddity is the fact that when moving the cursor to the "abort" button, instead of the arrow it's the hourglass. Aborting an HTML export using File=>Export=>HTML Files or my Tool Bar Button works normally, no lockup.
  16. If you're trying to load individual cache pages using I.E. that's the error message you'll recieve. It works fine using Firefox but not I.E.
  17. (Blush!) This is very embarrassing! Clyde, thanks for the help, it got me looking in the right direction. I followed your advice and exported to a .GPX file and messed with the command line version of CMConvert in the GSAK folder with no luck. It's been a long time since I've messed with old DOS 6.2 and command lines. It occurred to me that there was another CMConvert in the CacheMate folder, so used that and converted to the .pdb file. Did the Hotsync and checked for logs. Only one. I then started messing with the PDA and pushed the little button on the bottom. Lo & behold, more logs! I'd been looking for a little scroll arrow on the side, which wasn't there. (Hey, cut me a LITTLE slack, I've only had the Palm a little over a week! ) I then tried an export direct from GSAK and again, the logs were there, I just hadn't figured out how to find them. Anyhow, all is well with GSAK & CacheMate. Thanks for the push in the right direction, Clyde, and thanks to Kia Team for confirming I was up to date and had the correct settings. Don
  18. I'm not sure if this is a GSAK issue or a CacheMate issue. When exporting a CacheMate PDB file, I only get one log, the most recent. If there are user notes in the log, that's the only log I find in CacheMate. I'm using a Palm Tungsten E, Palm OS Ver 5.2.1, CacheMate Ver 4.0.4. Since there's a box labeled "Limit number of logs to export" I'm assuming that there should be more logs. In the export dialog box I have the Name set for %smart, Max characters 12, 'Install to Palm after conversion' is checked, all options are checked except State/Country, which is UNchecked. Limit nbr of logs to export=5, Always include my logs = UNchecked (but results are the same either checked or UNchecked). The cmconvert.exe in my GSAK folder is dated 4/6/2004 & the Readme file says it's version 1.8.4. I'm using WinXP, GSAK Ver 5.6.0, and my HTML setting for number of logs in offline pages is set to 10. Thanks in advance for any words of wisdom. Don aka FlaXJer
  19. This sounds like what's happening. The mail does in fact go into Outlook Express, so I believe you've come up with the answer to the problem. OK, you've got me on the right path. Thanks, Clyde, I really appreciate the help and the work & effort you've put into this fantastic tool. Definitely the Swiss Army Knife of Geocaching! Don
  20. Ok, after reading all the posts about automating GSAK to get PQ's from a POP3 sever, I used an invitation to Gmail so graciously provided by a fellow cacher on this forum. Got my Gmail account set up, my POP3 seems to work, the mail goes into Outlook Express. I set up a temporary database in GSAK to try it out, got 3 PQ's sent to my Gmail account and attempted to get the data. Filled out the info in the Get Mail dialog and hit the Get Mail button. I get "Connecting to POP3 server....", then "Connected OK, getting message header:" then the box "Finished, OK" comes up. Click on OK and there's nothing in the database, nor did the designated folder get the PQ(s) downloaded to it. Having had an AOL email account from the getgo, I'm not all that familiar with the POP3 server, so there must be some setting there that I'm missing. Or possibly in my Gmail setup? HELP! FWIW, I'm using Mozilla Firefox browser, am able to manually download the Gmail PQ(s) to the designated folder and my settings are the same as shown in the example in the GSAK Help file (tailored to my configuration). I've tried using I.E. 6.0 and get the same results. Also, if I manually download the PQ(s), Get Mail will load them into GSAK. Another thing I've noticed, I've got the Load Settings box ticked, and when I click on the little down arrow, I don't get my complete database list, only "....Last Active" and 6 databases. Unfortunately, the one I want to use for these PQ's isn't listed. I changed things around a bit to have an empty database to experiment with, so it's not a problem, just an annoyance. Any help/suggestions will be greatly appreciated! TIA. Don
  21. Hi Clyde I'm not sure if this is a bug or the way Debug is supposed to work. When in "DEBUG Status=on" mode you get three options before every command, Execute, Skip or Stop. If the command acts directly on the data base, i.e. "FILTER Name=Virtual" or "DATABASE Name=Default" the filter changes no matter which option is chosen, Execute or Skip (Stop works fine). If the command acts on an Export function, i.e. EXPORT Type=SNT Settings=40V File="C:\Documents and Settings\Don\My Documents\Streets&Trips\Geocaches\CSV Files\40V.csv" it works as advertised. This is also true of the RUNPGM command, it Executes or Skips as expected. Is this a bug or by design? I haven't had the need to use many of the other commands as yet, so don't know how they act in the Debug mode. Oh, and this happens on both my desktop running Win XP and on my laptop running Win 98SE. Thanks for an absolutely fantastic geocaching tool and time saver, I wish I'd discovered this months ago!
  22. [i'm thinking we need a new category soon. Maybe Mini-Micros??? Those little altoid strip containers barely hold a log sheet and they are super difficult to find. ] Those itty-bitty ones are known as a "nano cache" here in Central Florida
