  1. I filled up the other day with $2.599 /gallon gas. I parked my truck in the garage and shut the door. I have ridden my bicycle to work every day since then. Today, gas is at $3.009, so because of the 22 gallons of gas in the tank, my truck has appreciated $9.02. In a few months, that baby will be worth something!
  2. I appreciate knowing that. I assumed, and that was wrong of me, that you were expecting first time posters to have reviewed your list prior to posting here. My bad.
  3. My wife's Chevy Venture has a film on the windshield that is metallic. It completely prevents a GPSr from working on the dash. The only choice is to have an external antenna. Depending on your GPSr model, Gilsson may have an antenna that will cost less than $25. Check their eBay Store. Or, if you have good insurance, smash the windshield outta the thing and have the glass guy/gal put in a standard one.
  4. My issue is with the first "bullet point" in the OP. From the front forum page, under the "Getting Started" forum link, the text says: *emphasis added by me* Maybe it should say, "Feel free to come here and search for answers to your questions that have been asked several times already." If there is going to be a "Getting Started" forum, there are going to be people asking questions before they search for the information they want. That's why people come to forums, to ask questions.
  5. Johnny Cash will be a popular contributor to this category. I would (if they were accepting proposals) vote yes.
  6. Holding the quest / quest2 has been my only concern. But, assuming you have that licked, you could buy a Gilsson Antenna and solve any reception problems you may (or may not) be having. 15 feet would be like a dream come true to me.
  7. This week's Podcacher episode has a nice discussion about this topic. Also, on their homepage, they have some links with more information regarding hiking sticks. I just listened to it over my lunch hour.
  8. ORIGINAL STASH TRIBUTE PLAQUE Caps lock by cache owner.
  9. I just bought a new pair of Doc Marten's. Man, I am dying to hike outside in them. I have been "breaking them in" in the living room SWMBO is about to kick me out. They are "foot heaven".
  10. Ummm, I didn't think re-radiating antennas plugged into the unit. Don't they work with units that don't have an external antenna outlet?
  11. Would a photograph be needed to log (don't go there) a visit?
  12. That's a tall order. The closest I can think of is the Lowrance iFinder Pro PLUS (the plus is the mapping software, etc). Shop around and you can find them around $250.
  13. absolutely. I am still trying to think of a really fun category. I am kinda failing miserably. It would be nice (although I realize why it would be hard) if the LC logs came over here.
  14. I think that boils down to the category manager. They set the rules for what/how/who can be added and logged. At least that is how I am remembering it. I've seen them say that they only want something logged once. But I don't know what exactly they are meaning. With all the new terminology, I can see it boiling down to different scenarios: 1. A person can only create one waymark in a category. 2. A person cannot log their own waymark. I can't understand which it is. I am with you on that. I do know, in the McDonald's category. I added two waymarks. I then stated that I was going to "visit" them next time I actually ate at the restaurants (we have two within 5 miles). I was told I was a "good boy" by the manager of the category. Apparently, I was doing it just like he wanted. So, in the case of McDonald's: 1. You can add a waymark without visiting. 2. You need to visit the waymark to log a "visit". 3. You can "visit" your own waymark. While I don't completely "get" the whole McDonald's thing, it helps me try the different aspects of this new game. I don't have to try hard to perform the various activities. Except visiting a McDonald's. With my dieting, I haven't been there in awhile. I might just have to take the kids.

    Help!

Well, if that means less than $150, eTrex Legend If that means more, you can go up from there.
  17. You can set up a Pocket Query that looks only for MOC. I have one that I simply "preview" whenever I want to look at Member Only Caches. Since you are a Premium Member, you should have no problems.
  18. I am waiting to eat at a McDonald's before I log a visit.
  19. Top of the line handhelds = Garmin 76CS, Magellan Explorist 600, or Lowrance iFinder phd or hunt (currently not color, but soon the PHD will be offered in color). I would go with the Garmin, but that's just me. EDIT: Just re-read the OP and noticed he/she likes color.
  20. Same as the Vista and Vista C... 24 MB
  21. Glad I could help. Is your avatar a Springer? I have been gonna ask you for days. Looks like a good pup!
  22. Congrats on the upcoming postal goodness! I keep this thread in mind, everyone seems to speak highly of these protectors. screen protector
  23. The week before Easter, I weighed in at 260. My blood pressure, blood sugar, and Chloresterol were starting to worry my doctor and my wife. I made a vow to lose some weight and get healthy and, today, I am 200 pounds. It hasn't been easy, but Geocaching has helped. Keep Moving!
  24. Now, that's funny, I don't care which side of this discussion you are on! Thanks, Jeremy!
  25. That's easy. Have you ever, or do you think you may ever stand completely still and wonder which way North is? If you can picture yourself ever wanting to know where North is, without having to move, then choose VISTA. If not, or if you answered "I would just look at my compass", then choose Legend. I like the vista. I want to know which way I need to go without going in the wrong direction. But, that's just me.
