  1. It's -4c here in Ottawa right now. Here's the weather forecast for the next 7 days. Scott
  2. I missed out on the deal (and I was the OP of this topic -- go figure) I did find that Staples has the same 2GB cards for $99.99 as well, and it appears to be their regular price. So if anyone else missed out, you can pick one up there.
  3. Man, that would annoy the hell out of me.
  4. I like PB containers. I've been saving 'em up this winter for my first hides come spring. A little camo tape and you can't even see them. Kraft has better PB containers, imho. The lid sits more flush with the container. The first one in the pic is the Kraft one. I think the other two or no-name and Skippy. Scott
  5. Anyone tried it yet? After I download it, I get an "invalid win32 application" when I try to run it to install. Tried downloading using Firefox and IE. Scott
  6. I read something a while ago about certain brands of SD cards not being compatible with the eXplorist and the Mapsend products. I think it had something to do with unique IDs on the cards (or lack of) that prevented the maps from loading. Now that I'm interested in getting some maps, I can't find the info anymore. I don't recall if it was on gpscity or gpscentral or Magellan's own web site, but I've looked everywhere (well, obviously not everywhere if I can't find it again!) I think it was Kingston and Lexar that were incompatible, but I'd like to make sure. Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks! Scott
  7. A quick note to let everyone know that Future Shop has a sale on a SanDisk 2GB SD Memory Card for $99.99, regularly $219.99. Sale ends Feb 16th. Scott (No, I don't work there... just passing along a deal!)
  8. I'm not aware of any bookmarks. However, I could send you a GPX of of 25 or so from my watchlist if you want. They include some along the canal where most of Winterlude takes place. Scott
  9. How long after you mailed your rebate in did you receive the email? Scott
  10. A couple of years ago, my daughter brought home a letter from school that asked parents not to put anything chocolate in children's lunches due to twins in her class having chocolate allergies.
  11. The Ridiculous Green Helm has a rat guardian. I don't see it being a big deal. Scott
  12. I would try reinstalling Direct X. You could also try reinstalling your video driver, even if it's the same version. Scott
  13. That's too funny. I did the same thing and I think it took as long. Scott
  14. I think a cool award would be a small sapling for the finder to plant on his/her next hunt. Give back to nature. Or call it a do-it-yourself hiking staff kit... some assembly required. Scott
  15. That's exactly what I got with my 600 too. Scott
  16. Mmmmm... 2 still up for grabs... <---- vote for me!!! (please?) If you have to ask...you can't afford one. Just teasing. I would say that the 3 winners here will have a staff that would normally retail for $120.00 each. So far we have what appears to be one clear cut winner, but it's still early. That leaves 2 up for grabs. El Diablo
  17. Would you have a photo of this? I'm curious how it looks, and was trying to imagine it while driving today. Scott
  18. Mmmmmmmmmminnne... pleeeeeeeeeease! I'm closing to getting it as a tattoo this summer as well, since I've had it for a long time on other forums, and "twister" has been my nick/handle since the beginning of time (pre-internet CD radio days). I just tweaked the star colours to match the geocache colours for here. Scott
  19. I've ordered from them twice. The only real negative is that they don't always have what you want in stock, despite what their web page states. Scott
  20. Bleached? For peanut allergies, I assume? Never really thought of that. I've accumulated half a dozen plastic peanut butter containers for future caches and only washed them by hand or in the dish washer (note: some brands do not survive dish washers) Scott
  21. This worked as well, thanks! Scott
  22. I just found 7 listings for them on ebay. Search for "neoprene case explorist" and you should find some. Each listing has 4 or 5 of them available - looks like they're all sold by the same userid too (the same as I bough mine from) Scott
  23. Ipaq 3850 (Win 2003) here. I would love to be able to rotate the display 90 degrees so I can see more columns without having to hit the scroll bar along the bottom.
