  1. I use a hydration pack that has a few extra pouches on it(bought it at Wal Mart for $30). the bladder holds 2 liters. i can hold my baggie of swag, my cell, wallet, sun screen, bug spray, PDA, snackage/granola bars. And I still have room for other items if need be. out here there isn't really a whole lot of places to hike so I usually pack everything and then when I get to my cache destination I will take out my swap stuffs and head in w/o my bag. While I was at Academy Sports this weekend I bought a new bite vavlve for it. Had to do a littler surgery to get the Camelback valve to fit on mine but it is good to go now. I use the same hydration pack when I go mountain biking.
  2. i just got finished etching my name on a bunch of really cute 1 inch whistles that I got 3 for $.99 at CVS pharmacy.
  3. I've heard about a website dedicated to locating, photographing and basically online logging of historic site markers and signs. cant remember the site, but maybe a google will do... I found one Markeroni
  4. I use that same one(bouth at best buy) in my legend. I don't know a comparison between the charged ones and the regular ones but I like that I don't have to keep buying new ones.
  5. do far all of the caches I have done didn't reqire a huge walk to get to. usually with my etrex legend I use the really long lanyard that it came with and wrap it around my wrist a few times then I hold the unit in my hand. So if I drop it it isn't going hit the ground.
  6. I rode my bike 5 miles one way to place a cache then I rode another 6 miles back to grab a local cache then finally 1 mile back home for a little rest and eats...lol it has been a great day so far!!!
  7. HAHHAAHAHA..... I mean absolutely no disrespect. and I only have 5 tats that range from about 2sq inches to...thats about what size they all are. so I'd say about 90% of my body is tattoo free. I like your idea...very nice.
  8. Generally we allow the logo usage for personal use as long as you don't make more than 25. So 25 tattoos of Signal is the limit. As for tattoos, I am tattoo free myself. I'm far too indecisive to get a tattoo so I wouldn't expect to have one ever. Though if I did it would be something like a Grade A stamp or a barcode that really scans (though I have yet to decide what the barcode will be for). all right! I'm in! lol so I could get 24 signal frogs all over my body....thats sweet! lol
  9. I moved on June first, most of my stuff is still in my garage, I can only sit on one chair at a time. Unpacking can really hinder having fun, I'll un pack when it starts to rain Untill November it's cache on haha...I moved a month ago into a 3 bedroom 2 bath house I am buying. the first 2 rooms to be unpacked were the office/GAME room and the living room. then our bedroom. we still have about 5-6 boxes full of decor type stuff and beding stuff for the other bedroom that is still laying around in the spare bedroom. One of these days I will get around to unpacking it.
  10. OTOH, since Jeremy chimed in on this thread a few posts ago, I assume he would have raised his objection if he had one. Though assuming is often a bad move. ahh...but you see...all I am doing is advertising for GC. and it technically could be considered "no-comercial" right? ok, I emailed logo@Groundspeak.com to see what they have to say
  11. what is BOWK? a few years??? you only live once! I will be one of those old ladies in the nursing home with 100+ tats...lol they will all flock around me to marvel at all my art. "whats the frog mean?" "that is signal. Back in my youth I used to go looking for tupperware in the woods that other people would hide. He was our mascot"
  12. ok you will be the first to see it...ill post a pic a few days after it is done so it won't be so red and swollen. If I had pictures of my other ones I'd post those too. yeah, but some of us have work and other lives. my days consist of mostly 12 hr days and equally long weekends. with a few off days thrown in there. Lickily my job allows me to sit behind a computer and BS 85% of my day.lol
  13. yeah, signal can do it, so can you! edited to fix HTML
  14. yeah...I would do the caches if it weren't so far away. I don't even travel for work to make that an excuse

  18. haha...I understand. what does your look like? My mom was so PO'ed when she learned I had 2 tattoos. I got my 2 first right after basic training and have been getting one every year ever since then around my anniversary date. And I'm a few weeks past due lol this one looks good... i might integrate into something else
  19. heck yeah!! I hope to be geocaching til I'm 100. I already have 5. 2 dragons and arm band, an ankle band and a lion with wings sleeping
  20. where can I get pictures of the antenna frog? I want to get a tattoo with him and the GC logo but I am having trouble finding very many pictures of him.
  21. that is cool to hear a commercial on the radio. I will have to tune it online. we have a cache out here called SOS something and the hider has a short wave radio and near his home he has brodcast an SOS loop and we have to decipher the morse code to get the coordinates to the next stage...it was pretty cool. I don't have the ears to do it.... I tried and the ending took me 50 miles out of town..lol
