  1. I just noticed you were the only one who mentioned personal, or private property anyway. Unless I overlooked someone. For an answer to what, and where the cache would be is , A large Cache in a small wooded area where people may get a glance at some wildlife such as Deer, Turkey, Groundhogs, Coyote's and such. It may even become a TB hotel(hehehe) since I am so close to dead center of Ky., 5 miles off I-65. I think that would be a good place for one.
  2. it doesn't matter what it is, Land cars or houses. If you don't own it, and I do. I consider it personal property!!
  3. I use the photos a lot. You can see the burn barrel in my yard, streams, and even some game trails. My barrel appears about 1/2 the size of a regular pencils eraser. It does take some time for a beginner to see, and recognize, what they are looking at, but not a real long time.
  4. TADA i found it. I actually found it by accident about 10 minutes after this post but was so embarrassed I figured I better wait a while before telling anybody.
  5. A couple of days ago I changed the mile radius on my cache searches and now I can't remember, nor find, how I did it. Any ideas? Or was I just imagining I did that?
  6. The one my wife has was less than $200.00 E-Bay would be a good place to find one. Gotta luv e-bay I hope you mean $20, cuz you can get new ones at wally world for like 35bucks. The home ones can do a max of nine inch wide, quality looks good (but I don't have somtime from a pro to compare. It also depends on the thickness of the shelve/pouch/film you buy). Cost per use? mostly whatever you've paid for paper and the lamination shelves (which of course varies, $10-$30 per 100 for one example) hers is one for her job, up to 11" Not too sure of exact cost but was well over $100.00 new
  7. there are enough houses within sight of the property that noone would know mine unless I wanted them too.
  8. The one my wife has was less than $200.00 E-Bay would be a good place to find one. Gotta luv e-bay
  9. I have used "www.terraserverusa.com" for quite some time when hunting. Takes some getting used to to see what you are looking at but it is an awesome site. It has topo as well as satelite photos for just about every inch of the USA. overseas leaves a lot to be desired. It does not cost for the basic service, but the basic has always had more than enough info for me. There is more than 1 terraserver site so you may see some that cost a medium to large fortune to use.
  10. We are gonna take the laptop, and printer in the camper. That way we can either take the laptop,and/or printout for the caches we decide to look for. Once I get a PDA that may all change, I still got a lot of learnin' to do with the stuff I got already! I will probably do the Premium Membership soon, right now I cannot put that $ in our budget.
  11. This one worked well for me. Found info in "My Documents"
  12. Thats pretty much what I thought would be the case, but a person never knows till they ask. A very smart man once told me "A stupid question is much better than a stupid mistake" I have found that to be true many times.
  13. I have tried the favorite, save offline. The trouble I had was finding the info after I saved it. It wanted to go back to the web every time.
  14. I was thinking about putting a cache on my property so that I may get a chance to meet some other geocachers.I have about 50 acres but I am wondering about the possibility of "unwanted personality types" being a problem. I believe that a vast majority of geocachers are most likely really good folks. How many are not so nice is my question I guess.
  15. Hello folks, being pretty dang new to the Geocaching, computers, and GPS's as well, there is a whole buncha stuff I need to get acquainted with.LOL Right now I really need to know how to save the cache info offline onto my laptop so I can still see the cache info. this weekend while camping. (Dale Hollow Lake State Park in Ky. for those who may be in the area) I have been trying to acheive this task for 2 days with very little luck. I have a Dell Inspiron 1150 if that makes a difference. Thanks a bunch!! My personal e-mail is Hereigns@scrtc.com if anyone is gonna be in Southern Ky. this weekend.
