  1. Darn it, we'll be at Champoeg that weekend. I'm still interested if anyone wants to go in August, anytime after the first weekend in the month. Heck, I'm always busy doing laundry and the dishes, but I can take a day off and drop off the quads with friends to go do this cache. Same goes for the Festering Head cache. Thanks Pyewacket. I needed a girlie bike with a house full of boys. All I need now is a white basket with flowers for the front. Got a ding dong bell already.
  2. I've got a cool Townie from Electra. Wonder if it could handle the trails.
  3. Ok, so this one is about 1.2 mi from my home and begging me to find it. Problem is that I need a boat or someone to take me out in the water. Osprey Hangout GC1CBBC Looks like Frisbee'r already marked it for a kayak trip. Anyone got a boat????
  4. i've downloaded this game to play at home. the video is a crack up. i can't imagine having to explain what i was doing to a muggle. i'd help out, if i could handle the 12 hour drive from seattle AND find someone to watch the quads.
  5. I'm just waiting for the review and publishing. It will be within one mile of the Spring Fling. So you can get a two-fer and maybe grab some new caches in between events. Keep an eye out.
  6. I am sorry to hear that. Not because there won't be a cache but the way your enthusiasm was killed. You are a very nice person trying to do the right thing. The only cache on Blake Island in this map, I have found. When you are up to it again, what about Fort Ward State Park? The eastern part of it is on Map 593. I found two caches there several years ago. One at the top of the hill and the other just south west of a gun implacement. Dick Dick, I just don't want to go thru the red tape that goes with placing a cache in a Washington State Park. Plus I wanted a cache that would be easy for me to get to to do any required maintenance on it...which lets out both the upper part of the park (closed during winter) and anything along the gun implacements as they must be approached on foot from the edge of map 562...it just gets to be "too hard". At this stage of my life I want convenience and lots of it. I have a cache placed in the Belfair State Park and filling out the paperwork wasn't hard at all. It was really painless and they were excited to help me. You just need to check on the cache every 3-6 months.
  7. Speaking of.....does anyone know where we could get a hold of trail maps, that integrate both Green and Gold Mountains trails into one map? Snookie and I have been out there on a few occasions, the last several weeks, and would really like to explore them further. We have noticed that it appears, that some trails go from one mountain to the other, and would really appreciate a map that reflects that. Heck, we would like any kinda trail map. I only have a trail map for the Tahuya Forest. Wish I could help
  8. I'm short on time today, so I will read thru all the posts a bit later. I have about 8 map pages I need caches placed in, since I've cached out those areas. I am willing to place 8-9 new caches out there for you all, including one on map #500. Please let me know if you can help. Here's what I need: #503, #533, #593 on Bainbridge Is. #559 Seabeck #619 Near Mission Lake #620 Sunnyslope/Brem Airport #650 Lake Flora Rd #680 Wye Lake/Fern Lake Thanks!!!!!
  9. Thanks for the link to the cache page and the forum post link. I have a bunch already from July. This looks like something fun to do. I prefer to cache in the rain for some crazy idea. BTW, the boys are in half day kindergarten. Maybe I'll get a chance to go out caching w/o them for once. Good thing Todd (quaddaddy) is in Everett because I can cache over that way once in awhile. Looking for v, x & z. Donna quadmommy
  10. Ok, so I know that most of you are working on your Alphabet Soup Challenge. I just heard about it today. I must be missing the posts here in the forums because I can't seem to find it. Please post a link. If there's no link. Please fill me in on the details. Are there any other current challenges going on. I've been busy lately with the quads starting kindergarten. Daddy has been gone out to sea, too. I'm full of excuses, huh?? Thanks! quadmommy
  11. I go away and look what happens. I hear it's been raining non-stop, but I guess that doesn't slow you guys down. WTG, ya all!!
  12. I am soooo sad that the boys and I are missing this one. We're having fun in the 107° heat here in Utah and the caching is slow because of it. Enjoy your day and I'll be thinking of you all.
  13. That is sooo cool. I heard about it last night on the local news here in St George Utah (I'm here visiting family). Here's a website that you can go to for the viewing schedule in your particular area. NASA's SkyWatch: http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/realdata/sightings/
  14. I've had the same problem with the Garmin GPSmap 60C and haven't found the solution. Hopefully someone will post an answer.
  15. Thanks for posting this thread. My parents live in Hurricane, UT and I'll be visiting there with my boys this summer. She mentioned something about this, but didn't have any more information. I just did a google search and came up with this brochure pdf from the state parks website. It lists the coordinates for each park. Hope this helps. Utah State Parks Geocache Guide - 50th Anniversary Geocache Adventure Good luck and Happy Caching! Quadmommy and the four boys!
  16. Thanks you guys!! The boys are now really getting into caching. They mostly like running around, throwing rocks and hitting each other with sticks while I look for the cache. They spent Spring Break trying to scratch their eyes out. This picture shows all their recent war wounds and our #600th at OhJoy's Wild Card cache!
  17. Dang! I have four little boys. We stop at trees!
  18. Looks like 00-03 are the Seabeck Tribe. Email them to confirm. Wow! Great Self portraits and close up shots!
  19. Here's my four little rock monkeys! We've been geocaching since June 2005! Having quadruplets hasn't stopped us from getting out and caching. It's a great way to spend time together, having fun! Here's my idea of heaven on a road trip. And, finally all smiles at the Sequim Lavender Festival in Washington State. We cached our way around town!
  20. Why? Scotty did great on our trip in '05. Of course he didn't actually walk or ride a bike, he was a passenger for that trip. Do they make bicycles built for five??? Too bad I don't have my quad runabout stroller anymore. Besides they wouldn't fit in it anymore and it would be a bit too heavy to push with four 5 year olds. They're staying home with Daddy. I don't want to be with any crybabies! The boys at 5 months old.
  21. I would LOVE to go (minus the quads)!! I wouldn't do that to all ya all. Just add my name to your list. Party of one.
  22. Wish I could have been there for your big #1000, Hawk!!! I still have that can of beer I saved for you, even if it's Coors Light. You and snookie74 did awesome yesterday! WTG guys!!!!
  23. I have almost the same problem. No auto renewal thru my paypal, but no charge on my account. Somethings up. I've never had any problems since signing up for my premium membership in June 2005.
  24. Okay, so I've tried to find some night caches in my area with my small INova LED flashlight. For some reason (maybe it's too small), it doesn't help. I want to know what kind of lights other cachers use. I'm talking brand and power. And, is updating my Mag-light to LED worth it?? Thanks!!
  25. Wow! Way to Go, Shop99er and Mrs Shop99er! Looks like Santa's been good to you. Happy New Year!
