  1. Go figure. I ask and then 2 seconds later I figure it out. Sorry!
  2. I had 2 e-mail addresses linked to our account. Mine, which was primary. And John's which was just an additional one. Well I recently got a new e-mail and I want it to be our new primary e-mail and delete my old one. Problem is, I can't figure out how to take my old e-mail off primary. Help? Thanks!
  3. I picked up some #16's today to replace the gaskets on some matchstick containers. Got them at Menard's (a midwest competitor to Lowe's and Home Depot)... for $0.59 apiece. I am not out of touch with the fact that everything costs more, but these things used to be mere pennies. I mean, like five or dime, and I don't think it was all that long ago. Considering that the matchstick safes themselves sell for less than a buck, I think that is pretty darned high! save big money at Menards!
  4. I've heard about View Carre and of course the Original Stash Tribute Plaque. Not of Sledgehammer, though. From reading through the logs there are lots of people saying that they had wanted to do it for a long time, but I'm not seeing the extra appeal or why this one is special aside from the others. Maybe its just one of those that you need to do in order to find out. I go to TN sometimes, so maybe I can do this one. You're not supposed to understand why people like Sledgehammer until you find it. As I heard about it from the CO on the forums, I already know why it's different, but telling you why would be a big spoiler, so I won't. I have no clue when I would have a chance to do it, but it's on my smartphone so I'll be ready. Just confirming that it is indeed something different makes me want to find it even more. Its on my to-do
  5. I want a 5/5 cache super bad but I am yet to find one close enough to me that I can get any time soon.
  6. What am I missing ? A search by GC code tells me it is unpublished ...... Google search turns up nothing...... Try this Sorry.....I don't know how to do that link thing. Just click on it! EDIT:...wait, what do you mean? lol I mean I don't know how to post a link like that.....Thanks! In the box you write your reply in, there is a button that looks like a chain link. If you hover over it, a screen tip will pop up that says "Insert link". Click it. Where it asks for the URL, put exactly that. The URL you are wanting to link. Where it asks for the Link text, put what you want the link to say. I am still learning how to use this forum but that is one of the things I have learned. I still can't figure out how to reply to multiple people in one post.
  7. Most of us hang out on http://www.mi-geocaching.org/ MIGO site. that explains a lot haha!
  8. oh yeah, they do have use in the kitchen too, dont they?
  9. hey, thanks! I've been wanting to hide my first cache. I'll probably just use a Lock N Lock and since I know I'll be addicted to hiding just as much as I am finding, I'm going to need a bunch more Lock N Locks!
  10. That one looks like a lot of fun, especially to do for a milestone. I see a lot of people used it for a milestone.

  14. I wonder why there aren't more people who have found that one. Fun to read the logs from 10 years ago, though. The only reason I haven't been out to get it yet is because I can't find anyone that wants to go! I hike often but I also know that it is not smart hiking alone. If anyone decides to go for it, look me up so I can go too! I would! But Michigan is a little too far.

  16. Wish I would have seen this thread sooner Sold out.
  17. I know how to reply to somebody on this forum. You just click on "reply". But I see some people replying to 2 or more people in one post and I would like to know how to do that, if anybody wants to help me out? It would be much more efficient to address everyone at once rather than making several different posts to several different people. Your help is appreciated!
  18. Wanted to start a thread to see if there are any Michigan cachers on this forum. Speak now!
  19. Can you place a background image on your profile?
  20. Wow! I've been caching for almost 10 years, and I only have about 32 Earthcaches. You guys sound like you're having fun. Oh yes we are. We have pretty much run out of caches to do in our area though, and we don't have much time to travel so we are going through sort of a lull right now which is sad
  21. Wow. You must live in an area with a lot of Earthcaches. We have a few around here and whenever I travel I always look for interesting earthcaches and virtuals. I almost always learn something new and in fact the very definition of an earthcache is to provide "... an Earth Science lesson through a visit to a unique geological site". Probably the most interesting one I've ever done is located less than a mile from where I live and asks those that do it to find a fossil, describe what kind it is, and take a photo of it. It actually turned out to be one of the easiest earthcaches I've done as it only took about five minutes of turning over rocks to find a fossil. Ever been to Mackinac Island, MI? We don't live there now, but we lived and worked there from May '10 to August '10 and got 13 of the 17 earthcaches there. I really do like them because like you said, you learn something new every time. There are tons of geological points of interest on Mackinac so that is why there are so many ECs there. And each one is just as cool as the next.
  22. Thanks for all the answers. We now have 13 earth caches under our belt. As for the pictures go, we weren't required to submit a single one.
