  2. Try scaning your picture at a lower resolution or resizing your pictures. There is software you can download that will do this.

  4. I just got Streets and Trips 2002 and it works perfectly. Along with GEO Buddy It doses exactly what I wanted. I've done a few test. Now next time I have a weekend off I'll give a field test. icon_biggrin.gificon_smile.gificon_cool.gif

  11. I Am starting to see some of these virtual Caches that involve going somewhere and posting a picture of yourself and GPS with the coordinates.

Some people seem to have a problem with this type of cache but I don't. I suggest Make a new cache type to separate these caches from the regular virtual cache mabey call it a "Reverse Virtual Cache" The Icon for it could be same as the Virlual but turned sideways.

  12. I have wanted a feature like this myself. I like to be able to enter a starting and stoping point and get a list of caches within a certin distance of the route. eg Start in Baton Rouge La. and end in Fort Payne AL. find caches within 20 mi of route.

  13. Hey!

I was wondering if anyone from south LA would be interested in a geocaching camping trip maybe over memorial day weekend posibly at a state park on the north shore. Then go caching around N.O. or go canoing and hide a jumbo cache on the way.

  14. When you are searching for a cahce if your GPS has a 15' accuracy and the person the hid the cache has a 15' accuracy and the GPSes are off in oposite directions the cache will be 30' away form where is GPS shows it to be.

  15. What I like to do afteris get a state atlas with gps grids. Then create a numbered index of the caches you are intrested in. Then get some 1/4 inch round circles write the coresponding number on the circle and using the map link at the bottom of the cahe page place on the apropate place on the map.

This will make it easier to get within walking distence if you have to drive on a lot of back roads and you can see all the nearby caches at a glance. This may take along time to set up initialy but after that you will only have to add a few at a time to your map.
