  1. You could set the Lincoln zip code as your centerpoint. Then filter a certain distance from the center point and that will give you the caches you want. Then you can export those caches out a number of ways.
  2. Road Rabbit has already given you the best advice anyone can give you. I know you are getting a kick out of poking the hornet's nest. And I couldn't help laughing my butt off reading the other thread. But honestly, I think it is really time to let it go. It's getting to the point now of injuring others; ie. 1) those not reading the forums seeing this spill over in the "secret identity's" logs and 2) less experienced geocachers reading the forums and possibly getting the wrong idea of the kind of people we are. So, one last time, just let it go; for your sanity and ours.
  3. I have to agree with Martinp on this one. I realize Jeremy runs the site, so the way he explains it should be the way it works. But in reality, I experience exactly what Martinp described. For the most part, I log into GC.com from my laptop. I never log out. However, occasionally I login from the office computer. If I set the "Remember Me" box in the office, I then have to log back in the next time I go to GC.com from the laptop. If I just log in, but don't check "Remember Me" in the office, then I don't have to login again on the laptop. I just chaulked it up to being something I could live with since I don't go back and forth that much. However, I could see it being a pain if someone switches often. I do know it's not an IP issue as I have static IP at home where my office computer is located and when I take my laptop on the road, it doesn't "forget" me. I am editing this post to retract all the above I put in grey. It seems something has changed since the last time I saved my login in the office. I just tried it again tonight, and both logins were saved. That is how it was doing a couple of months ago, however.
  4. That is the last straw! I am now going to log bogus finds on all two of BlueDeuce's non-archived caches in protest of his/her opinion! And I thought that the forums existed almost exclusively FOR critics... I was thinking of sitting down tonight and logging all those thousands of DNF's still awaiting me in GC's database. Maybe I could get the record for most DNF's!
  5. You may also want to check out a nice freeware calculator, GeoCalc.
  6. Ok, GSAK now allows you to import MS Streets and Trips files in the arc filter directly. I just finished creating a caching route for an upcoming trip for the hoidays and it worked great. The thing is, I had to manually create stops along the route in order for GSAK to be able to grab the coordinates. S&T has an option to insert automatic Rest Stops at given intervals. I was thinking it would be great if you could set the auto rest stops for like 5 minutes and then somehow have these turned into stops or otherwise converted to coordinates that GSAK could use. This would greatly automate the task. Any ideas, or does anyone know of software or trick that will allow this? If not, maybe this is something to post in Clyde's GSAK thread?
  7. Hmmmm, that's funny. I tried Alpha Quest and it worked fine. I then went back to the ones that were crashing my FF the other day and they worked fine. The only change was a reboot.
  8. It's funny I had been reading the thread lately. Someone noted a problem with one of my caches over the weekend. He moved it to a new location to protect it and emailed me the new coords. I don't think I would have bothered logging a find, except for a few comments here. But since I had to go find the cache to fix the problem with it and it had been moved to an entirely different area, I went ahead and logged a find.
  9. Can you check to see if those pages that crash FF have pictures as backgrounds? I just started experiencing that problem yesterday, and it was only time I tried to print a page with a tile background.
  10. I am stepping out of the lurking shadows to ask a quick question. I know it is possible to view new posts since last visit. I have subscribed to the forums I read most often. Is there a way to view the posts since last visit in the forums you subscribe to only?
