  1. I found a cigarette as well and promptly threw it away. I was glad I was not caching with my daughter when I found that. Other than that lots of food! Ask my 7 year old what the first rule of geocaching is and she will promptly tell you "don't eat anything out of a geocache" - seriously food???!!!
  2. I wanted to highlight 2 great geocaches both in the same area in northwest Georgia for anyone interested and ask for other recommendations in the southeast. One cache I have nothing but good things to say and one has a problem that could use some help! The first cave cache we went and found is Noise: This cache is almost a perfect cache. It is a great cave if you don't mind tight spaces and a lot of mud! It is a 5/5 and it took us a long time to find it (GPS's don't work in caves BTW). The other, more unfortunate example, is Bat Cave. This cache should be great. It is easier than Noise: but it does have the fortunate (in my opinion) of giving a great opportunity to see bats in their most natural habitat. Here is the problem with Bat Cave. Someone has been using it as a dumpster for a long time. I just saw where it has been disabled and the cache owner is trying to clean it up. It would be a great CITO for folks who are not easily unnerved. I have talked about Noise: on Podcacher podcast - twice actually - if you are a listener (and who isn't). I recommend it strongly. Here is the second part of my post after highlighting those caches - I want more of these kinds of caches. They are great fun! Does anyone else know of any caches inside caves? I know there are some around caves which are cool but I like the hunt to lead you into a cave.
