  1. I dunno about the $1 thing..I have a $2 bill listed as my ftf prize in my first cache hide, and its been sitting since July 10th with no action...lol.
  2. I have to say I like to find toys in caches....only because my kids are usually with me, and this keeps them interested in huntng for the next one. Personally, I don't hunt for them to get more trinkets, but for the fun and adventure. And its much more fun if the kids WANT to go. Even the dreaded McD toys works for us!
  3. okay STOP IT!! lol...I am making a trip to get a travel bug sometime this week....you are making me think it probably wouldn't be there.
  4. my best advice would be to follow your instincts. If it doesn't feel right, don't go there. YOU have to decide your comfort level, and your safety zone.
  5. as a newbie I have to stash and have stashed this week: glo-stix wind chimes super balls all sorts of balloons smelly bath-salt type stuff decorative soaps pez dispensers cookie cutters play doh molds clip-things to wear your keys around your neck sea shells unsharpened pencils sharpie markers Avon bug repellant wipes Avon dated Christmas Bulbs (unused and still in orig box) and am thiking about using a $2 bill I got in change last night......but my kids are gonna sqwack if they see me leave it...lol
  6. Just keep in mind that just because a newbie only has a "1" in their find box doesn't mean they are actually new to this. Many of you old time geocaching addicts take people out on various hunts and get us hooked...so we then go back and buy our own gps's. I now have 3 finds, but hid my first after 1 find of my own...BUT went out with my BIL before, and actually had my husband with me to pull up my co-ordinates to double check to make sure I am using the gps right when I did my hide. Just because we look like newbies, doesn't mean we really are.
