I am still waiting for 4 coins... This incedent has severly cut back my coin buying from anyone.

Mine seemed to me to be obvious... For those that can't guess... I was / am An Interior Communications Electrician First Class USN IC1 So when thinking up a good short name for use in cacheing it just sort of jumped out. Then it hit me on just how well it fit with the search of small objects hiden in the wild... ( I see one) so.... The Avatar is the Rating symbol

I remember that one!! I found that cache at 0200... Later that day I met the cache owner, and found out he owns a few big dogs! I usually get a bit nervous when the cache is at a house, but if the cache description has enough info that I am sure I am at the right house, then I go for it. Little clues like the color of trim or something else really helps.

Thanks for the clarification... This just came up recently in an offline conversation. I wondered which way to go on a couple of new caches I have planned.

To clarify something posted about the DeLorme Challenges... One does NOT have to buy the maps to solve these caches. The maps are readily available at most public libraries. I know personally I only have to drive 2.3 miles to access any of the 50 state atlases, then using the information go out and complete the challenges. I have completed two so far and have plans on completeing a few more as time permits. As far as the websites hosting the puzzles. I am also looking for clarification on this. I have 2 caches waiting for definitive answers. The way I am reading this thread, I would have to either buy space, or use someone elses bought space. All I have currently is the free space from the ISP I have used for the last 4 years. I am not sure I can understand when you are in control of the content why it would be a problem, just because it is part of your paid ISP service and not extra space rented out.

Today I received 1 Utah 1 GCC Pearl and 2 pins And the odd ball 1 GCC Pearl with a Blank spot where the pearl would be placed once it was removed?!?!?! (The "hole" is filled) This is the second error coin I have received from the club.

Still waiting, but I see there is an event tomorrow where he will be selling the coins!!

My longest run was 34 days consecutively! I have some good runs broken up by one day, too... I guess I was addicted for a while!

Still waiting for 2 of each Total 4 coins... I wonder if since I paid with a CC through paypal if I could get a refund that way. I have passed on two trades hoping I would get the coins I paid for.

Forgot to mention that I keep the coin in a hard platic case so that the finish will hld up....

I carry a Cointown coin always... I allow others to log it when I meet them out on the trails...

I have a few coins that track my caching... One coin logged 11,000 miles in just over 30 days!! It is amazing how fast the miles add up!! I have a compass rose that tracks all caches found, and various other coins to track specific types of caches. I like how I can look at each coin to see how many FTFs Phone a friend, Cachers met on the trail etc, that I have accomplished or done...

I have 4 units 1. Garmin Quest 2. Garmin 60 CSx 3. MS Streets and Trips 06 (With GPSr Puck) 4. Lowrance iFinder Go I use the Quest for routing, the 60 for actually hunting the cache The MS system I got for my laptop to make it easier to view a large area in relation to current position and then decide where I want to head to next. My daughter uses the iFinder on her Girlscout trips, and my wife uses it when she travels...

Got mine the other day, I love em! Figures... I only got one set, now I wish I would have gotten at least one more set.

We (IC1 and Girlyscout) plan on being in the area on thursday, I plan on attending the Coin "subevent" I have a ammobox full of various coins for trade... Unfortunately, my personal coin is still in the planing stages so it will not be ready for woodstock.

Thanks for the heads up!! I ordered the regular coins now I have to see what is up with the "coin collectors version" I will be attending that "subevent" as well!!!

Still No coins here in MO!?!?! I think I have been more than tolerable about this but when I got home to a huge stack of coins one has to wonder! (I have been on the road for the last 30 days)...

I am "home" for a couple if weeks... I am planning out my cache runs throughout WA and northern ID, This thread is helpful to me, I can pick some better caches quicker... I am in Kelso right now and will be getting to Oly this morning... So if anyone see a blue Trailblazer with MO plates and a Retired USN sticker on the back window,,, That would be me. Feel free to introduce yourself, I like to meet other cachers!

I had the same surprise... I ordered 2 LEs and got 1 of each type I felt very lucky that day!!!

I have had to "move" a cache once. It was after a lenghty ordeal to retrieve it and repair it. we just ran out of steam to get it back where it was supposed to go. I did make it clear to the cache owner as to the whys and so forth. I also apologized profusly! I felt really bad about the whole thing. Then the cache owner thanked me for fixing the cache! I didn't have the heart to tell them then that it made me feel even worse!!! It was Ambers Revenge II for the curious... I guess my point is that without the full story, I wouldn't judge why the cache was moved...
