  1. When I go to my parent's house for dinner and they send me home with leftovers, I always convince my Mom to put them in a LnL. Then she wonders why I never return them to her!
  2. Two thumbs up! Loved the "Lazy Cacher" story! Looking forward to the next issue!
  3. I bought a Sportrak Map on Craigslist last summer for about $45. It's a good unit, especially if you don't want to spend a lot of money to try out the sport. However, it doesn't have USB connectivity, so if you do decide you like it, and want to upgrade to premium membership for the pocket queries, be prepared to spend about $20 (give or take) for a USB to Serial connector. (Unless of course your computer has a Serial port). Hope this helps! If you would like any more info, feel free to send me a message!
  4. Just wanted to say thank you all for your responses and your help...I don't know if it was one or all (my batteries were low, my "secondary" settings were not where they should have been, and I let it sit out and average for a while) and then went out saturday and it worked like a charm! Thanks again!
  5. I just bought a pre-owned GPSr from Craigslist from a fellow cacher, and it seems to be great! except for one issue...I went to find a few (3) urban caches close to home to test it out, and all 3 of them were off by 30-50 feet! I found all 3 using geosenses, with a little help from the GPS, but once I was there, it was off! I even sat for a few minutes at each one to let it calm down, and the closest it got was 32 feet. This has happened before on my old GPS, but more like 15 - 20 feet. Is it a setting in my GPS i should change? It's a Magellan Sportrak Map. Thank you in advance for any help!!!
