they're talking about the watchlist attached to the cache's page. I took it off my list a day or so before the event because I didn't want to get flooded with logs, coin drops, etc.

I never really gave the 'putting to bed' of a coin very much thought. I guess I rank some coins as simply unattainable... then much to my surprise I attained at least one of them through the kindness of a geofriend. I want to parrot what AtlantaGal said... place it on the back burner... maybe even put it from your mind. I've found that stuff I actively look (or pine) for rarely comes to be, but when I forget about it, it appears in front of me.

I'm only 9 miles as the crow files, but I don't have a car so I doubt I'll be any help. I imagine you'll find someone closer and with better transportation.

I've been to a few CITOs and had fun at every one of them... havn't yet tried to organize one tho. Kudos to those that have!

The powers that be have had ample time to give comment to this (or at least add it to their todo list), so I don't thinking bumping-for-bumping's-sake it would be wise to do.

I've already got the original version, so I'd just like one of the anniversary version.

I got mine at Geocoinfest.. and I'm fine with just one.

I don't think I've recieved anything from you, so I wouldn't know... the mailing method I've used entails stiff paperboard (like cereal boxes) cut to the size of the mailer interior, and the coin stapled through the extra plastic to the paperboard. Noone I've sent em to have complained, so it seems to hold up okay.

27 trackables and 7 non-track... I think. Havn't activated all of them yet, even.

Anyone have any idea of when we will get the special icon for our series? When the folks at Groundspeak associate it. Give it time folks.. it'll eventually be there.

Speaking mearly for myself, I made sure to keep active on the TBs, grabbed or dropped. I do have some to discover, but that can be done later.

So I've sent out my batch of coins to those that requested them so far... anyone else that wants to get a full set? In a week or two, I'll likely be posting for open trades in the main trade thread, for others that might be looking for one.

I've logged both events already... I just havn't logged all of my found caches in the area, especially Sundays haul. -.-

I have one that I wanted to send back to Europe... but it's in Michigan right now. :{ If I had seen this earlier, it could've been mailed out here, but now the window's too narrow.

The dreamcatcher coins and one of Crake's, I believe. my next one might be that way too.

Most likely. Since the coloring I used on my TB was the arcylics which I painted on, I used a spray-on sealer (couple of layers).

Clay items are suprisingly durable once baked... I have a clay TB that was bouncing around Europe for a while before being pilfered back to the states. I was also planning to make clay versions of my personal coin, but never could get access to the dies. hhm... Dragonfly has clay tokens that are deposited as sig items... you might want to ask them.

Btw, will the coin be trackable? I know they have the EV prefix reserved for event coins now, but I don't know if they've relaxed the rules for required number of coins to produce.

Can you copy/paste the notes in here? I'm curious as to what the Community Relations person said about it.

In regards to the raffle drawing... If a computer and a projector is available, it wouldn't be too hard to make a random number generator that displays on the screen. Twenty numbers at a time could be generated and as people approach the table to pick up their prize, the numberis removed. Also, the possibility for a timeout on the numbers, generating enough to account for all the prizes available. The drawing time might go on longer, but people would be able to see and remember their numbers easier... and the announcer wouldn't need to get a sore throat. :}
