  1. No time soon! My legs have barely healed yet!
  2. Maybe try updating your version of Windows Media Player if you're not already on version 10? Matt, any chance of creating an .mpg version, or is that down to me to try and do now?
  3. Further to my separate post: Important Announcement A severe security issue has been discovered in Greasemonkey versions prior to 0.3.5 as well as the early 0.4 alphas which some people may have installed. Install Greasemonkey 0.3.5 or uninstall Greasemonkey immediately. More information on Greaseblog.
  4. Leafy branches *DO* work, but I find that performance is still further degraded when in close proximity to either brambles or nettles!
  5. An article posted on today's Register has described how people running the latest version of Greasemonkey are vulnerable to hacking attacks, regardless of whether or not they are using Mac's or PC's. It is advised to either uninstall/disable Greasemonkey, or to downgrade to an earlier version. Sorry folks!
  6. Export the filtered list from GSAK... File menu, export and export as type "Cachemate .pdb file". Another dialogue box will appear with a variety of options. I always untick the "decode hints by default" option. Now depending on how you want to do it, there are two ways to continue. I always keep my Cachemate databases on an SD card, so I untick the "export to palm device after conversion" and save it to My Documents. I then copy that file onto my memory card. If you're doing it that way, it needs to be saved in the following folder: \Palm\Launcher\xxx.pdb (cachemate .pdb file). If you're just copying it direct to your Palm, then leaving the "export to Palm device" box ticked should be OK. Hot Sync your palm with your PC. Fire up your Palm, and open Cachemate. Hopefully it should detect the new file(s) and ask if you want to update your database...
  7. Funny thing is... the sequence in the car isn't actually edited!
  8. Locking my thread... Use Matt's HERE
  9. As promised, the inimitable MattWaggie has done a superb job, nay, he has surpassed himself, in the creation of the trailer for our Alchemy Quest day out. It's a short (about 9 minutes), medium-sized (about 7.5MB), pretty darn funny (even if it was me that people were laughing at) video of our 14.5 hour day to find all 15 caches of MarcB's Alchemy Quest series. It features MattWaggie as cameraman, Bizarre as chauffeur, myself as the jester and kitmonster as the dripping wet bloke in ripped keks (don't get too excited just yet!). Somewhere along the way, it also features a short cameo appearance by Scooby, Scrappy & MP... It was made possible by the support of 12 cans of Red Bull, 2 flasks of coffee, a coolbox full of butties, pain relief (oh, the pain!) courtesy of Magicool and my constant bad jokes, starting from around 3am in the car on the way down, and not letting up till way after 7pm! I'd like to thank my mum, my dad, my sister, my agent, my pet cat - stuart.... Oops, sorry! Just watch the trailer from either of the following locations: Kitmonster's Webpage My Webpage Enjoy!
  10. No probs, I had a feeling it might be, which is why I asked in the first place. Those of you in need of a little comedy this morning might, however, be interested in the Alchemy trailer, now being hosted on my site. See the other thread...
  11. I was just wondering... Having spent what seems like an age (three days in reality, but it seems like ages!) running the queries to get all of the .GPX files for all of the UK caches, would I be breaking any rules in hosting them on my own website for others to download? As a plus side, it would possibly reduce some of the strain on the GC.com servers, and allow people to get them more quickly. On the negative side, I realise that .GPX files are normally only available to registered members, and this would make them available to unregistered users. So could Eckington or Lactodorum give me a bit of guidance please?? I could also stick up things like the excel spreadsheet that Kitmonster produced for our record-breaking Alchemy attempt - He plotted all 15 caches and worked out the most efficient route round them all. It also had a predicted schedule that was waaaaay of in terms of individual caches, but ultimately spot on in terms of total time. MattWaggie also informs me tonight that the video of the day is nearly finished, and I'll be sticking that up there very soon. Cheers, James
  12. Finding something cool/attractive/interesting just nearby, that you were completely oblivious to. Finding a new location to go and take photographs. Particularly inventive caches ("The Cat's Whiskers" anyone?) Returning home, wearing shorts, completely free of stings, bites and scratches (not happened yet, but I can still dream can't I?!)
  13. Got the script no bother, but whenever I try to install Google Earth, nothing happens... Anyone know what I might be doing wrong??
  14. Congrats guys! From one of the stinky guys you met doing Alchemy in a day a few weeks back!
  15. Me too! And I won the raffle! Well, 50% of it anyway... Toni, you win the prize for the cache that's going to infuriate SOooooo many people! Cat's Whiskers is one that's going to have people pulling their hair out!
  16. Nettles, barbed wire & brambles, plus me wearing shorts. Need I say more??
  17. In addition to the above, I also use SpoilerSync, for taking the spoiler pics with me if I need to...
  18. Abso-frickkin-lutely spot on. Just stumbled to this today, caught up with the other thread and have installed it all. Already a dedicated Firefox user, and this has made it even more worthwhile! Now, to get back to coding my Palm app that will combine GSAK, GPXSonar and SpoilerSync for us PalmOS users! All I have to do then is port Memory Map and I'm set!
  19. Can't wait to see my Rapping in Ironbridge!
  20. The Famous Five Have Lost Timmy series up my neck of the woods... Saving that for when I have some company though...
  21. Yeah? I figured I'd gotten off lightly with my stings/grazes/injuries, etc. However, after a couple of days it's become fairly apparent that I was the horsefly equivilent of a drive-thru (a fly by perhaps?) I've got a big bite at the top of my chest, one on the back of my neck, three down my left arm and two down my right, along with an absolute cracker on my shin that I took the top off whilst playing football last night. Happy Days...
  22. We did indeed. I'll post it on my website when Matt has done the editing...
